Where do i start… may 2022 we hired FB for a complete bathroom renovation. Works completed with a 2-3 week time scale. The workman ripped out the old bathroom but managed to smash through our kitchen wall!!
By Aug 22 still no bathroom - just a shell with the worst tiling. The floor didn't have a drop so the water ran to the back wall - the measurements were all out. The plumber cut a massive hole in our old wooden floorboards - they run the entire length of the house in our Queenslander- as it was easier than going under the house - integrity? The shower was 10cm out with the shower head now off centre, they then cut a hole in the wall to fit the bathroom cabinet which would leave the light switch inside the bathroom cabinet. The toilet we bought through them did not fit, so we were forced to move away from the traditional type and their attempt to push super modern type which did not fit with the house or our renovations. The electrician turned up - not the same electrician - asked where the extraction fans were - moaned he had been sent to the wrong location - expressed his contempt towards me that nothing was ready for him(- fb were supposed to supply ) and left without saying a word - works not done.
FB did not respond to any of our calls despite empty promises someone would be in contact.
The skip blocked our drive way for five weeks!
Eventually the plumber turned up again after weeks of no works and no communication.
We turned him away making it very clear that we want someone to come down and look at the poor quality of work.
Jim the owner contacted my husband by phone and agreed to come to inspect . Jim did not see an issue with the tiles, he was incredibly rude to me, to my husband he agreed the tiles needed redoing. He agreed the flooring was wrong and that would come up too. He arranged for the tiler to come back and rip up the tiles - he took the floor tiles up and half of the very bottom row of wall tiles!!! He dumped all of this in our front garden - no skip! My husband again attempted to communicate - we had nothing for weeks then a random company phoned up stating they had been booked to do works - this was now outside of the already extended contract. So my husband said no as we had still had no communication from Jim about the substandard works or attempt to correct.

We then contacted QBCC.
Jim Breached us.
We reluctantly agreed FB could attempt again to rectify the works.
We waited in on the agreed day ( which was very short notice) - no-one arrived by 9.15 so we left.

We engaged an amazing lawyer
Jim tried to breach us for the second time.
Did I say our lawyer was super amazing??

QBCC sent out surveyors who found defective works.

I sit here today with the builders (new) via QBCC ripping out all the tiles, all the compromised flooring, waterproofing etc.

We won.

Its been 13 months of sharing a tiny ensuite with kids and visitors (plus all the freedom bathroom workmen!!!) yes we were very lucky to have the ensuite or we would have been in dire straights or been forced to accept the defective unfinished bathroom from this company.

I do not recommend - at all!!

I couldn't be happier with my bathroom renovation! Everything went smoothly and the workmanship is excellent, providing an overall immaculate finish. The job involved converting an odd shaped long (rotten) bathroom into a bathroom/laundry. I also needed plastering and cornice work done, which they fit within the job time frame. I appreciated that they were flexible with what I wanted as I provided my own vanity, tiles and light fittings. Overall I am extremely happy with the end result and am happy to recommend them as quality bathroom renovators. I will be contacting them for my next renovation.

We contracted Freedom Bathrooms to complete a bathroom renovation and some touch ups on a town house. At first the sales team and renovation specialists were very accommodating demonstrated high attention to detail from positioning of feature tiles to placement of towel rings. Yet it was the little things, the placement of the mixer tap was positioned over the feature tile rather than a few millimeters to the right so there was no overlap, I was told it would be cleaned and looking beautiful when they were finished however it was a dusty smear that a required a cleaner to deliver the sparkle promised. The painter left a plaster residue on the walls and dresser, rubbish on the floors and refused to own the damages or repair it. Freedom Bathrooms blamed two independent contractors employed to complete other works unrelated weeks after the works were finished and complaint made. Tips, don't employ them expecting a great finish you will be disappointed and have to make lots of calls. Be very careful.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. The only thing that was prompt and efficient was the account! They provided very poor customer service - their staff rarely turned up on the advised days or times. The workmanship was shoddy at best with jobs having to be done over again to repair the mistakes of the first attempt. The job took twice as long as quoted. The only visit that the overseer of the work made to the site was after they told us they had finished (and sent the account for payment).....and I insisted that someone come and inspect the shambles they had left behind and the poor quality of the work. They then had to admit to me they had no idea where the bathroom actually was. Despite repeated requests to talk to some of their "satisfied" customers to check on legitimacy all requests were ignored. We had been told the job was complete and I insisted that misaligned shower screens were not what I had paid for. My recommendation would be to stay well away from this company until they update their procedures for dealing with customers.

It is without question the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The staff were disorganised clearly taking on more jobs than they had the manpower to cover! This resulted in my bathroom renovation taking SIX weeks instead of their contracted THREE! I had four separate leaks that required a steam of tradesmen to fix and frustratingly every time they fixed one thing they damaged another!! My attempts to discuss some form of compensation for the stress and inconvenience failed to generate any reply except another email demand for final payment and a threat of incurring 20% interest if not paid within 7 days!!!!! I would never recommend this company to any prospective customer.

I highly recommend Freedom Bathrooms. They did a top quality finish on my bathroom/laundry and separate toilet in my unit. They have a wide range of quality products to choose from and helped me in putting it all together - particularly with the laundry unit which they built and designed to match the vanity unit I chose. It finished the room off beautifully. The person who did the quote was the same person who helped me with choosing the products with professional advice and the same person who was totally available on his mobile while the job was being done if I had any concerns or questions. They also encouraged and expanded on my ideas while at the same time giving me advice on what would or would not work in the space that I had. While the job was being done, they totally respected my property, kept it clean and tidy. The finished product was better than I could have ever hoped for - it definitely has the 'wow' factor and I could not be more pleased with it. While mine was being done, they also did a smaller job on my neighbour's unit (at short notice - she made the decision when she found out mine was being done) and she is also totally happy with the quality of the finish.
