Pavers less than a week old are peeling/flaking/chipping & to top it off have changed colour since the rain where some are darker than the colour chosen. Obviously either a bad batch & not sealed correctly or a very poor manufacture process. Not happy at all! Unable to contact them as they are not open for explanation & replacement.

Approximate cost: $1800

I used Fremantle Stone in my last two properties and will be using them again. My pavers have been exactly what I hoped for both times and have found the team honest and easy to deal with. Thank again.

We ordered thousands of dollars worth of paving for our pool project. Two important pieces were damaged - most likely not cured properly as the edging is cracking and peeling off in over 10 places.
When we contacted them to ask if they can be replaced they treated it like we were out to rob them blind!! Accused us of damaging it ourselves when we have CCTV proof no one touched the paving - you would have to hit them with something hard over 10 times to get this amount of chipping/cracking. Upon close inspection you can see the top layer is just peeling off.

We were even happy to pay for 2 replacements (we are talking $40 here!) but they were more intent on contacting the landscaper trying to prove we damaged our own goods! So much for a warranty - the pavers should not crack and peel, but they will pass blame rather than honour a warranty.

Customer satisfaction is low priority. I now also doubt the durability of their products. I will never recommend their products to anyone.

I have had a similar experience and in the process of trying to resolve it with them - our issue is with Stone Deck. What product did you have installed?

When recently finishing our home in Landsdale we decided to visit the guys at Freo Stone in Greenwood. We needed paving for our driveway, portico, alfresco and narrow side of the house as we didnt want to make the mistake of covering our serviced with a poured product! We made a booking and they came out to our house to help with the design, product selection and measurements. All this was for free!!!
They then helped us with a contractor and within 3 weeks the pavers had been delivered and installed by the contractor.
We used the Quartz Gem range for the driveway and Engineered Limestone for the portico, side and alfresco. I must add how cool the limestone stays under foot!!

Approximate cost: $5500

pool header - we were very specific about what we wanted & after discussiing with staff were sold a particular pool header which once put on pool did not give the look we had discussed. After emails & phonecalls to rectify this matter - the attitude is we aren't responsible for what our staff tell you, it's not our fault it is the pavers for not showing you what he was going to do with the pavers. If we had of been advised by the staff at the company of what you can & can't do with these pavers around a pool we would not have bought them.I am struggling to understand the attitude - basically once it leaves the store they do not take any responsibility. we have been offered a discount if we purcahse more pavers but not to rectify the problem nor discount on replacemnt pavers. very dissappointed with attitude apparently it is our fault for trusting the staff to know what they were talking about. will never spend another cent with this company

Approximate cost: $700 + labour costs

That's very disappointing to hear. The product chosen is suitable and correct but did not satisfy your end desire appearance.
When the capping was sat on the pool did your contractor or yourself not notice the appearance before sticking the capping down. They have to cut it and sit it in place first, giving you the chance to see appearance before final adhesion.
They guys at Fremantle Stone would certainly understand and assist you in achieving the appearance you want if you approach them calmly and with understanding. It is not their fault after all, just the final design picture is not what you wanted. They would have sold you what ever you want if they knew your final design idea clearer. They are their to sell stone after all not matter which one you choose. You should approach them again. I have dealt with them for 10 years in my pool contracting business and would not shop anywhere else. I can assure you, you will recieve NO help elsewhere in this game, which is much worse than help gone wrong. Fremantle Stone are the best people I deal with PROVIDING customers are fair and reasonable to them (not saying you where not). Try again.

Tim - I was very fair & reasonable in my dealings with them & even the pool company we went through were very disappointed with their responses & attitude towards us. As I mentioned we spent time with the staff discussing what we wanted to achieve & were VERY specific & as we are not the paving experts we put our trust in them to provide us with what we asked for & know what you can & can't do with pool types & the headers.. My issue is with the corners which were done last & I was not around to see the laying until the end.......very unfortunate. My paver was just as shocked when I told him that we had discussed in detail with the sales staff what we wanted & he said we should NEVER have been sold those pavers as you can't achieve the look with those pavers. We being naive assumed that there was only one way to lay the pavers & didn't even think we need to tell the paver how to do his job. I had several phonecalls & emails to Fremantle Stone & am still absolutely appalled at their attitude to the customer. I am a a business owner also & would never speak to my customers in the manner that I was spoken to. Of course they are going to be fantastic to you - otherwise you would go elsewhere....they have a vestied interest in keeping you happy.
I don't like the way you mention that I may not have been rational in my approach to rectifying this problem......
Fremantle Stone basically said they deal with so many pools they don't know what goes on what pool.....isn't that their job to know what they are selling to their customers. If I had known that was thier attitude I woulld never have gone there - what a lame excuse. You are obviously one of the lucky ones & as a pool contractor you know what you are doing...& I am sure there are others out there who are not happy with the company but can't be bothered wasting their time on it.
Fremantle stone need to realise that the majority of their customers have absolutley no knowledge of paving/pool headers etc & be a little understanding & maybe they need to look at employing paving experts in their showroom who may be able to give the customer more informative information so things like this don't happen in the future.

They make money whichever product you choose so I think it is a case of misunderstanding, not anything else. Fremantle Stone boys are all ex contractors who do know what is what, but must have missed your point. It does happen and is a shame. You should reason with them if you are still unhappy with the result. Your contractor could do with some training in understanding his clients needs, rather than have this happen again to him also.

Fremantle Stone have provided me with excellent quality pavers for my patio area. I have just ordered some handmade borders to go with them. This place has loads to choose from. If you are a little budget conscious you can do what we did and buy some seconds pavers. We cant tell the difference to the full price ones. I will be going back next time i need some more pavers.

Approximate cost: $2400.00
