Professional, expert knowledge, reasonable prices, not cheap but trustworthy and their work is excellent. For general car service they do what has to be done - no extras to add $$$. They are also expert at transmission servicing and repair. My car is a professional vehicle, I do over 1000 km/week. The car is 9 years old. These guys have kept it driving like it is new. I’m more than happy with their work and since I found them I won’t take any car anywhere else.

I arranged to have an automatic transmission service on my car, as they advertise as being specialists. I found both Pete & Harry to be fantastic & as a woman I was really pleased at their attitude, as some mechanics can be very condescending, this was not the case. After giving them my rego they were able to look up the details of my car, a 2000 model car with very low klms, so they were sure they had everything needed & would not have to waste time getting any parts in. I was then able to drop my car off at 6.45 am and leave the keys in an envelope under the door, so no work time lost. The work was completed by 11 am and my hubby picked up the car, but I had until 5.30 pm to collect anyway. We were very pleased with the work and also the price was very good. I would definitely use them again and an added bonus is they give 12 months warranty. Top marks.

Approximate cost: $210

If you're after a trustworthy mechanic then look no further. Excellent value for money. Harry and the team do a great job and do not replace wiper blades with every service, unlike other mechanics!

Future Tech has been recommended to me and over the past 3 years Harry and the team has been servicing my vehicle with professionalism, great customer service, and sound mechanical advice.
I have recommended Future Tech to two other friends and they have been satisfied with the customer value that they have received.

Fluidrive specialize in the service, repair and overhaul of automatic transmissions among other things - gearboxes etc for all manner of vehicles. Each business is run by an independent owner/operator, so this review is only for the Box Hill business. The fact that they are specialists is why our mechanic decided to hand over a particular job on my husband's car to them, instead of doing it himself. My husband had had dealings with this business in previous years and had no objection.

But when the car came back and the same problem was in evidence, our mechanic checked it himself and found that the same faulty part had not been replaced, but had been cleaned up and put back in. He had "words" with the business about it and ended up doing the job himself. Thank goodness we had him to spot this, not being knowledgeable about these things. Now, they might have been having an off day, but good business sense would suggest that you do the work that the customer actually pays for, or else you get no return customers.

We might give them another chance, based on their former good service, but the trust has been lowered.
