Never hire from this company

My man came out with nothing to test anything. He asked how I knew I was first hacked and I said through FB. But then my router was hacked twice. So he put in his notes I wanted my FB back!!! What a joke. I’d lost all meta data and everything was playing up. He lectured me on how there was nothing wrong. Put the Microsoft Authenticator on. Took off Mcaffee. Then with in hours they hacked through the Authenticator and changed all my passwords and took over Microsoft, Google and eventually iCloud. You could see I was being hacked when he left. My daughter sent me a text from NZ saying why am I being hacked? I rang them straight back and they assured me he would be back as he just left. Nothing. My self and others rang and they said I just wanted FB back and other times they just hung up. I’m absolutely stunned!

I wouldn't recommend Geeks 2u. The technician was nice but self taught and only tested my laptop. No repairs where made and when I called them back because the issue was still present they were going to charge me again although the problem was not fixed.
I have since reset my laptop and what a waste of money

Kavi came out , he was extremely helpful and fixed my problem which the computer shop hadn't been able to do in 3 attempts. It was pricy but worth it to finally get the problem fixed.

I work full time and they just cancelled my booking 15 mins beforehand as they had scheduling problems. They were rude on the phone and not even apologetic. I would not recommend

just moved into a new place.. No ethernet ports - all the wall sockets are phone ports. NBN box downstairs with router (2 flights) and computer on top floor. No choice but to Wi-Fi and speedtest shows I have a 102/106 mb/s line but my downloads are only 2.7-9.3 in speed.

Called them 13/04/22 to get a technician booked to try and fix the speed problem since Wi-Fi is my only option here. I was asked if I wanted same day service but it'd cost me an extra $49 on top of the $158 I'd already be paying. I said no, I'll wait till tomorrow.
So tomorrow's come around, Technician was supposed to show at 8:30am... didn't show. Got a phone call eventually at 9:10am from their customer service team saying he wasn't able to make it today, could we reschedule. I was a little pissed but said sure.

I was offered Tuesday next week (sorry some of us work and I work that day), other option was tomorrow (Good Friday) but there'd be an additional public holiday fee.
I'm like.. are you serious? I'm going to get charged extra for YOUR technician not showing when he was supposed to? I cancelled the service. I will not be using them again. Absolutely appalling. If I have anything taken off my creditcard for cancelling I will follow through with a law suit...

aptop developed a grinding noise - most likely a faulty fan. Called Geeks 2 U who sent a lovely guy who couldn't fix the problem on site so laptop was taken to the 'lab' for repairs. Three weeks later I got it back but problem was the same so back it went to the lab. 7 weeks later and still counting still no laptop back. In that time there have been no updates and all emails to Customer Support go unanswered. Calling is a waste of time as all they promise is to check with the 'lab' but then you never hear back. All very frustrating.

I had a ransomware virus and Geeks2U could not fix issue however was still charged full price despite TV commercial promise of "no charge if unable to fix issue".
Not a happy customer.

I recently used Geeks2U for a follow up service to fix issues from my first service. I was advised it was under a one hour credit. I then discovered on my credit card statement that I had been charged. I contacted them to dispute these charges and they have agreed to refund part of the money as they made an error. The technician installed some software on my computer and I have been charged for that however I was not advised of this and did not agree to it. They refuse to refund these amounts. It concerns me that they can charge your credit card with amounts that you are completely unaware of and have not consented to. I have had a traumatic experience and would warn others from using Geeks2U.

Just a great service because they come to the home or office. Had problems with laptop and technician spent time and then took it away and in 2 days all sorted. would use again

Had issues with home computer. Technician arrived as stated and sorted out problems also installed free virus scan which worked well would recommend easy as they come to your home.

More expensive than a local business ($158 ph), plus all the Techs are contractors anyway, they don't work for Geeks 2 U they work for themselves. When you say you "claim to be the best" what you really mean to say is some of our contractors are the best in the business but equally many of their contractors have no experience, no insurance and no qualifications in IT. Avoid like the plague!

Terrible service. Under qualified Tech arrived at my house with nothing more than a mobile phone in his hand, no tools, no paper work, no ID. He then spent 5 hours more or less just talking, didn't fix a thing but wrote down he fixed it all & billed me for it. Called to complain and Geeks had to send out another guy who actually knew what he was doing to fix our issues. Never use these guys again, will find someone local cheaper and qualified next time.

Very disappointed; when paying a premium price, a premium product is expected.
Called to have software issues resolved, promptly offered midday appointment. Good service, until the technician never appeared. Total wait 2.5 hours for technician to attend, no contact from Geeks2U to advise of delay.
Offered a discount which equated to $8 per hour of my wait - my time is worth more!
Technical service was fair, disorganisation inexcusable!

Rang their office late Wednesday and they arranged for computer technician to call first thing Thursday. Jonathan was very friendly and efficient and got everything going. While they are more expensive than most it is certainly value for money. Would I use them again? Certainly would.

A Geeks2U person just left my house leaving behind a satisfied Client (me) and an iMac computer working perfectly again! The issue was that i lost one week worth of e-mails and one year old e-mails were displayed instead.Other companies i tried last few days would not solve my problem. Geeks2U person not only solved my problem but added a great value through identifying other not so obvious issues and cleaned all 'rubbish' from my iMac. Challenging? Yes! Doable? Not for the 'others'... Geeks2U have from now another Cllient who would stick with them.

I lost my sound drive and Geeks2u fixed it promptly. Service was fantastic, friendly and totally recommend. Their pricing was a bit on the steep side though they do a great shop. my computer runs smoothly now

Had constant trouble connecting to websites and my computer was generally running slower than usual. The Geeks2U serviceman gave me advice about my problem and tuned my computer up, so that it now runs beautifully. The people in the office are good to deal with too - very efficient and pleasant to talk to. My only complaint is that the fee was a little high.

I used them to clean up the mess after unnecessary work was done on my PC after an 'issue' with a leading anti virus provider.

Thankfully the tech got everything back up and running and reset all the passwords and wifi connections in the house that had been lost.

There was a slight mix up after the job was completed as I had to pay for the service call up front and then for some reason a bill was posted to me asking for payment.
It was easily fixed after making a phone call.......But I would expect an IT company not to have billing glitches happen???

Geeks 2 U are Australia wide and a mobile service, so come to you.

After a computer crash which seemed to wipe my entire computer a call to Geeks2U saved the day. They give you a 1 hour time window of when they will be there, and he was there within that hour.

Bobby found the issue straight away and had got all my data backed up onto a hard drive within half an hour. He then needed to take my laptop away to reinstall windows. He offered to take the other one also when I mentioned it was slow, and see if he could speed it up. He charged a flat rate so I knew exactly how much it would cost (he estimated the number of hours it would take - it was reasonable).

He then needed to return the laptops the next day. I only had a half an hour window that I was home that day and he made sure he was there within that time. I highly recommend Bobby from the Adelaide branch.

The cost was $69 per half hour, with a minimum of 1 hour plus a $49 fee for same day service.

I had a few problems with my computer, and Geeks2U came and fixed it for me. Yes, it took 3 visits, but the serviceman was excellent. He explained things in simple terms, was very patient with my questions, was honest about my ancient computer, didn't rip me off and was prompt and polite.

Also, the people I spoke to initally on Reception, were helpful, polite and patient.

The only slight negative was the price - as I needed 3 visits. I have no idea how much it costs to have a computer service home visit, as this was the first (and I hope!) only occassion, but I am now happy with that my computer has been updated and is working well.

Had an external harddrive repaired with this group. Were hard to get through too initially but once appointment was made there were no real issues. Staff were very helpful
