Hands down best Sorbet ever tasted. Salted coconut and Mango

Most delicious icecream ever! Lots of flavours to choose from and weekly flavours! I had fairy bread last week and red velvet the week before! Icecream melts in your mouth and is made with quality ingredients.

The ice cream is alright, customer service wasn't too great. Haven't got much to say about this place, wasn't very impressed.

Gelato Messina sells the best gelato that I have ever eaten, their flavours are innovative and delicious. The special gelato flavours change every week. My favourite is one called Robert Brownie Jnr, I also like their bounty ice cream.

This stuff is instantly and unashamedly addictive... why else would people be willing to queue half way up the street in order to score an ice cream? They have a huge range of amazing flavours and then they tease you mercilessly with a small selection of signature flavours that changes every week. I have been known to drive all the way from Wahroonga just to try a new flavour before it disappears, and then get stuck for 90 minutes in peak hour traffic trying to get back across the Bridge! Your best plan is to get there about 3.00 pm on a weekend - at this time it is even possible to find a seat inside where you can relax and enjoy a double scoop and a surprisingly good coffee. The staff are gregarious and welcoming, but try to get served by one of the old hands rather than a trainee because the older staff are usually more generous with their portions. If you're a regular and they recognise your face they'll even pick out yummy bits for you or give you an extra lick on your cone. Compared to some other places (and considering the amazing flavours they offer) Messina gelato is not ruinously expensive, and you get even better value if you buy one of their tubs. I suggest a 1500ml tub (up to 5 flavours) that you take home to the family, and a sneaky 500ml tub (up to 3 flavours) which you sit on your lap and devour on the way home. :-)

Everything I could say about Gelato Messina is positive - its in a great location, it is open till 11pm at night, the staff are sincerely friendly, the gelato is to die for.
My favorite gelato flavors are the salted caramel n white chocolate, the tiramisu, the hazelnut and the salted mango n coconut. There is just too many appealing flavors to choose from.

Amazing gelato for a great price!! I love it so much. Always go when I'm craving gelato. The environment is also so fun to be around. The flavours are also so amazing!!! Loveeeee!!

Very nice and tasty ice cream. Its a beautifully clean and well presented shop with sweet and eagerly helpful staff members. tastes great but not the bestest ice cream I've ever tasted.

Cool flavours. $12 for 5 scoops is pretty reasonable in this day and age. Ideal location, relaxed cafe-style. Love their balls (ice cream) and their wafers.

It was my first time to visit a gelato store and it wasn't too pricey like my friends tell me gelato s normally are. I was able to taste test a few flavours before deciding which one i wanted to order. Great way to satisfy customer needs.

This place has the cutest ice-cream you can ever imagine. The cute mushroom ice cream is the best. It got popping candy in the base which really enhance the whole thing. Guys should really bring your girls to this place.

My favourite gelato shop, not over sweet like the other gelatos and it taste like real "other food". The tiramisu gelato taste exactly a iced tiramisu(in a good way=) with biscuit flakes.

Ok you want the best ice cream in AUSTRALIA? head to messina you will not regret it specially if you take the salted caramel. yum yum yum best ice cream i had in this country, 4$ per scoop line is always always always seen from 500 meters away MUST TRY !

On a friends recommendation we find ourselves at Gelato Messina and let me tell you , was worth the drive over! Everything is made fresh and using natural and raw products, which means no nasty stuff like flavouring, colours or additives involved so your tasting the best flavour possible in their divine gelato, cakes, pies or brownies on offer. And their sorbets are full of fruit, fat free and dairy free too , which is fantastic for the waistline!

Every week they have about "6 special flavours" in their cabinet. We tried the coconut bounty and it was delicious! They also have take home tubs with amazing flavours like coconut, mango and lychee sorbet, italian nougat and tiramisu and vanilla and chocolate fondant! There are many different flavours and combinations to rack your brain with and they all look amazing!

There was a queue when we arrived but it took us about 10 minutes to place and pay for our order and the gelato and sorbets are divine! Would recommend!

OMG!! the gelato and sorbet here is just amazing!!!! I really want to try every single of them!! Like the special taste Salted Caramel and White Chocolate, chocolate hazelnut, Pandan & Coconut here!! so yummy and good value! The gelato cakes here look so adorable!! a bit pricy, but just so unique and will be soooooo cool for special occasions! Will definitely try the mini me gelato cake next time when I feel down, i believe it will make my day!!

I love this place and I always went there for dessert after a nice restaurant in surry hills. Messina has a very good gelato, lots of flavour. Tried the butterscotch last week, it was amazing. The portion size is quite reasonable and cheap too. The staffs are very professional and friendly. Strongly recommended to go.

The staff is always very helpful and encourages you to try different flavours to make sure you get the right flavour when you buy the ice cream. The ice cream is just do die for! The long line in the evenings is worth it.

This is very very good gelato. Last night i went here and I was the queue so bloody long and it was 10pm already. I tried the tiramisu and salted caramel. The best gelato ever in sydney.

Phemomenal Gelato, the best I've ever had! Every flavour will blow your mind and the specials board has some amazing combinations, some you think wouldn't work but actually blow your mind!

The most amazing gelato I have ever ever tasted in my whole life! The flavours are all so varied and creative- I tried the lychee and coconut today, definitely my favourite. Mango is also delicious and the specials of the week are always so unique!

BEST RANGE OF GELATO KNOWN TO MANKIND! I don't even understand how they manage to keep the prices soo low but use gourmet ingredients to create the gelato I know and love!

Omg yum! And omg wow! I got a gelato in the image of a toadstool comprised of chocolate geloto, vanilla gelato, peanut butter cookie, caramel, and popping candy and biscuit. Each element was delicious and the overall visual effect was fantastic. Not on the cheapside but big enough to share with a friend. They do different compositions and cakes as well as just gelato in their adjoining gelatissimo. Definitely something to try if you haven't before and are in need of a special treat. Very cool.

I'm a gelato fan , I have quite often as i work 1/2 block away, especially on summer. I love the variety of flavours and their cakes are amazing . The staff are very helpful and It's very busy at times but you never wait to long. I love the south american flovours as well. The prices are a bit high but the gelato is worth the money. Try it out

Ok, so they have some very tasty gelatos. BUT their poor work practices nearly killed me. I asked if the sorbets were dairy free as I'm allergic. They said, yes, and that they'd use a clean spoon. I GOT SO SICK, I guess because some PREVIOUS person dipped an icecream tainted spoon in a sorbet and got traces in there.
When I complained the week after, the manager just said, "get them to use a clean spoon next time" and did not understand that it only takes ONE tainted spoon all day to kill someone.

They are always busy, a sign of great gelatos being served!! I love their variety of flavours, my latest favourite is the Coconut Pandan. Yum. Just slightly pricy, but then again, all gelato places are pricy, I am happy to pay for the quality.

Staff were friendly and working hard to keep a street-facing location clean. The range of cakes, pastries and yes, Max Brenner chocolate is a great addition to a line of gelato featuring all your favourites! Great Green Tea gelato as a special on Friday night was a surprise.
