General shoes are quite good value, but all the salsa shoes are over $220 which is about twice the price of anywhere else.
Lots of great hardware, usually in stock (most items). Not as expensive as you'd think for the CBD! They have a pretty good range for a small store. The opening hours could be a bit longer ideally though.
Lush is such a yummy shop... I always know about 5 minutes beforehand that I'm approaching their store. Value is not quite what I wish it was. One soap cost me $17 (!) But it was delicious. Sadly, they only pay their employees minimum wage ($16 per hour) or about $32K for full time.
This is the best idea since the iPhone! You can order your coffee on your phone and it's ready by the time you get there. Best idea for a quick lunch break.
Great location, great stuff, great range. These guys really know their stuff when it comes to art supplies. And they have nice long opening hours too!
Oovie's are DVD vending machines that are all over the city. They often email you free DVD rental codes, so the value is great. And they are open 24 hours a day! I Love OOVIE!
Approximate cost: $2.99
Their $10 steaks are awesome. They come with a side salad and chips. And they always cook it just how I like it! Tops!
Approximate cost: $10.00
We went out on Saturday night, to have a drink before meeting friends. The music both upstairs and downstairs was great. Funky and a little oldschool, really eclectic. The $22 cocktail jugs were great value, and the crowd was great. No wads or beef heads to be seen.
Sushi Train in George St Cinemas is the FRESHEST, tastiest, best value sushi train ever! All plates are $3.30! You can't beat it. it's awesome.
Approximate cost: $3.30
Ok, so they have some very tasty gelatos. BUT their poor work practices nearly killed me. I asked if the sorbets were dairy free as I'm allergic. They said, yes, and that they'd use a clean spoon. I GOT SO SICK, I guess because some PREVIOUS person dipped an icecream tainted spoon in a sorbet and got traces in there.
When I complained the week after, the manager just said, "get them to use a clean spoon next time" and did not understand that it only takes ONE tainted spoon all day to kill someone.
Approximate cost: $6.00
