best sourdough pizza ever, and the pink moscato are so good we had to buy more to take home. They are so addictive. We also bought pumpkin sourdough bread and couple of brownies to take home. Overall was a great experience. Would go back for their pink moscato.

Set in a large open plan building, this winery offers great food & service as well as complimentary wine tasting while you wait to be seated. The truffle fries are a must & the house moscato is divine!

Loved it. Came more for lunch than wine tasting, ended up doing both.
The food is great. A good selection on the menu. We had some share plates to start followed by pizzas. Delicious. A really nice relaxed casual setting.

I really liked the atmosphere, setting and produce/dishes , on offer on the menu.
It is a causal eatery, with a real buzz and social/community feel. Whether it is for a drink at a table on the porch, or a more substantial meal inside, you would find everything to be ready and waiting.
It is always quite busy, but you are free to browse the produce and products for takeaway (everything from bakery items ie. portugese tarts to kitchen staples such as EVOO) or have some tastes of the wine on offer.

Excellent atmosphere. Superior customer service, the staff know there stuff, from the food to the drinks and are always attentive. It is however a bit pricey. I'm into sweet wine - Moscato. They have a moscato summer cup (cocktail type drink) and a moscato granita!

Great food and great service. You need to book in advance to get a table as they often fill up quick. They are not the cheapest place to visit but their food is always great. Love their sourdough bread, always leave with a loaf, however I think they are getting smaller!

Yumm!! Food and wine is delicious! Highly recommend going here as a group and ordering a few of the shared plates. Make sure you also get some bread from the bakery to soak up all the sauces left over from the meals!

I don't know why this place has such high reviews. It is located near Healsville very far from Melbourne and it is located in a town so no winery views/scenery. The place is just like a cafe with long wooden tables. It is casual seating with expensive coffees, They do offer free tours of their site though.

I have been several times and have loved it everytime. It's a foodies paradise with delicious food, amazing pastries, great coffee & divine wine - particularly the sparkling moscato. Highly recommend it to anyone.

I went to this winery on Easter Sunday. We called to make a booking the day before but of course it was booked out. We were offered the option to come up an sit outside or try and luck and see if anyone had cancelled.
We arrived for late breakfast which was great as we were able to get a table. As soon as we stepped in we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who was able to show us to a table. The waitresses were lovely too.
We ordered a variety of tapas and they were yummy! Everyone who I was with loved them also.
We purchased some wines and did a few taste tests. Their winr is beautiful!
I am so glad I finally got to see this place as i'll definitely be back.

I have been a fan of their pink moscato for several years after trying and buying it at the Good food and wine show maybe 5 years ago.
I have heard great things about this restaurant & were not left disappointed.
I was quite shocked when we arrived because I expected the winery to be in a vineyard which it wasn't.
They do make their wine onsite and grow their grapes in Bendigo they explained to me when I asked them.

Inside the restaurant looks great, and has a unique style to it, and quite large in size.

We ordered some moscato cocktails which were divine & extremely easy to drink.
We also ordered tapas to share which were also very tasty. And desserts to finish.
The bake all their bread, pastries onsite and the food is quite delicious.
We sat opposite the open kitchen where we got to watch them preparing, cooking all the food.
They have a large wood fired oven where they make a huge amount of pizzas in daily.
The pizzas and the res of the food also looked divine.
i would come here again.
We also sampled some of their rose which we then bought a bottle to take home with us.
There is plenty of room to park and is located opposite white rabbit brewery and beechworth bakery.

The Innocent Bystander is a must-try experience if you visit Healesville but it's not somewhere I would go again and again. The pizzas are very nice but at $22+ are a little on the expensive side I think. They also have a $95 steak!!! So this is very much a fine dining experience to enjoy occasionally. It gets very busy here so we usually try to avoid the main feeding times but the restaurant is a great place to enjoy a meal and drinks, with wine barrels in view down the side of the building.

This is one of my favourite places to go in the Yarra Valley. I bring all my French visitors here. French cheeses, bread, and a great selection of French wines make this an impressive place for foodies. Love it!!!

One of my favorite places to lunch on the weekend. The woodfire pizza's and the truffle and parmesan frites are the best. Although you may have to wait for a table on the weekends if you don't book, it is still definitely worth the wait.

We always pop in when we are in Healesville. Its very spacious, sometimes a bit noisy but the staff are always friendly, helpful and full of smiles. We like to sit in the booths. And love the access to the free Wi-fi! Also love their delicious pizzas and great coffee. They have an open kitchen so you can see everything being made. As we are leaving we always grab a few loaves of freshly baked Turkish Bread and some goats cheese. Always full and highly recommended !!!

Excellent service, despite it being Mother's Day & very busy. The cheese tasting is a must! Laurie, the cheese Connoisseur, is extremely knowledgable, helpful & friendly. Pizzas are terrific & sides delicious. A bit noisy but creates a buzz about the place. Will definitely be back.

Staff and really, really nice. The food is great, I highly recommend the pizza's, but also find it hard to go past the cheese platter. It is a huge space and can get a little noisy when it's really busy, but for min, that just adds to the whole thing.

Try to grab a seat out on the deck if the weather is fine or in one of the booths in side on a cooler day, it gives you a nice space of your own if you have 6 or less people.

I've been many times and will keep going back, almost always leaving with a loaf of sour dough on the way ... it make the best Vegemite toast in the world.

Modern casual dining inside and alfresco outside with heaters so even a winters day it's nice. Very up tempo kind of place. On quiet days staff have been friendly, on busy days staff have been abrupt. When we walked in without a booking on one busy day they were plain rude and sent us away with "think about booking ahead next time hey?!". However the food is divine, cheeses are yum, wine tasting is a joy, merchandise very well done and music selection eclectic but reliably great taste. Staff manners normally make or break a place for me but I'm addicted to their moscato so I make allowances in this case.

A great place to go to whether you are a couple, group or family. Service is second to none and the food is terrific - you can eat, taste wine and cheese and have a great time - for us it's an expensive experience as we nearly always buy large amounts of wine and cheese.....but it's fun

If you want service with a smile, you might not want to pop in to the Bystander. And if you're not keen on hearing any conversation at the dinner table, make sure you don't sit in a booth! Aside from that, the Innocent Bystander provides a variety of great lunch and dinner options. The four-cheese pizza is truly a must. Toss in a glass of moscato and you'll be on a real winner.

I've never done a wine tasting here, but its very popular. My reason is only that I don't feel very welcomed by the bar staff and feel more like I'm intruding on their territory than being a customer.

Despite the issues, we do go here when we want a good pizza or something a little gourmet and different.

I was introduced to Giant Steps by colleagues, and have returned many times with them and with family. I am addicted to their pizzas, particularly the one with spicy sausage. I can usually tempt my husband into a drive for the amazing range of beer on offer.

I never knew what this place was having driven past many times..From the outside..it is grand, like an art gallery or Museum.. But once inside, the space is intimate, trendy and inviting. You realise as you look through the big glass walls at the back that the enormity of the building provides space for what these guys do so well- Self sustained business.. They make their wine, beer, bread.. everything that sets them apart. The food is really lovely, although limited, the wine is lovely, the staff are always friendly, efficient but laid back also. For a special treat, I really like this place.

We went there for lunch 9/9/08. They have a varied menu with pizzas ranging from around $20-$23, steak, fish, pasta etc.etc. I had pizza with field mushrooms, garlic and chilli and my partner had the wagu beef - two very different meals and both were beautiful. We also had a desert from their in-house bakery, bought wine and coffee andalso bought cheese from there cheese shop
