it's very conveniently located right next to Southbank cheap movies @ cineplex - the perfect choice when wanting a quick, yummy, healthy bite to eat just before a movie :) together with a friend at noon, the place was quite full, and we ate 7 plates between us, with a coupon from the entertainment book, total bill = $30.46 :) I'd give it more stars for value considering you're not actually getting a whole lot for the price of each plate, however, it's surprising how filling good sushi can be! (be warned, it's SO easy to eat more than you need with the deliciously tempting offerings rolling before your eyes as you eat ;)

Ive given this place another star. Cant find fault with it. The food is fresh and cooked right where you can see it.decor is charming, seats and tables or sit at the bar type server. Plenty of parking in the complex, staff are always welcoming and i love the dumplings ! Prices start from $4 or so. Lovely night out after the movies

We often head here after a movie at South Bank. The sushi is terrible and I mean really bad. Don't eat the sushi here. But the other Japanese food is really good value for money. I don't know how they manage to do bad sushi and make everything else well.

I recommend either the noodles or orders lots of little snacks like Takoyaki.

Friendly waitress, happy to bring us extra plates so that we could share the chicken and pork meals that came complete with rice and miso. A little overpriced but still a great feed.

Approximate cost: $18-20

tried this a couple of times after and before the movies at south bank ,its just across the road.the service is very fast ,but its not food waiting its cooked or made fresh. we had an outside table on a warm night.plenty of choices with soups ,sushi and drinks. very clean, staff are very attentive without hanging in your pocket. lovely staff. was quite impressed how fast they cooked. we had been served within 5 minutes and eaten our food with in 20 in time for the movie. extensive menu hard to choose i short time.its open till 10 pm next time we will try the pizza or noodles, they also have salads so there is something for everyone.try the prawn tempura is superb i loved it

This place is always busy..and for good reason. Really tasty sushi and always fresh. They have a bubble tea place right there inside too, so a great way to compliment yummy sushi. Average prices for Sushi in Brisbane.

Beautiful sushi. Always fresh and can also get the sushi made to order if wanted. Serves most drinks and isnt an expensive meal. They also have other meals not just sushi

We came here because we are fans of the Ginga Japanese restaurant in southbank and thought we'd try their sushi bar. The sushi was ok but I feel it was well overpriced for pretty standard sushi. It felt like the same sushi you get in most shopping centre food courts but at more than triple the price. It is conveniently located next to the southbank cinemas so I guess if you were wanting to dinner and a movie it would be pretty convenient. All in all it's ok but not great.

Hands down the best sushi train I have ever been to! My husband and I will always go here for dinner if we are going to see a movie as it is right next door. We have even taken our young daughter here a few times and it has been a pleasurable experience. They are always quick to find you a table and a highchair and are willing to give up a 6 seat booth for 3 of us just to make it easier with children. The sushi is the best I have ever eaten and I love that it is fully licensed as well.

Approximate cost: $20-30

Favourite place to go for sushi. Always tastes amazing and all plates are great prices. Never have to wait long to get a seat, and the service is always good. Best sushi train I have been to!
