Hands down my favourite place to go for Yum Cha. Prices are reasonable and the food tastes amazing! Nice range of food.

Gold leaf burwood.. I went to have dinner, ordered one of their set meals, for the family. $200+, pre-set menu. but the meals provided weren't really worth the price..

The yam-cha service over there is comparative nice, with large dinning environment and good presentation. However, they have set time for yam-cha. As far as I remember they have 3 different sessions, so please do make bookings before going there. One of my friend and his wedding reception over there, not bad. It is worth to go there at least once for yam cha and for dinner.

I must say this is one of my favorite Chinese yum-cha restaurants in the East. It's always packed and price is reasonable. Book for the early session to secure yourself good car park spot, then find yourself indulged in all the steamed dumplings, buns, food and desserts in the yum-cha session.

They have various types of dumplings and tend to change every now and then. Rather creative. You can't go wrong with the usual har gow, siu mai, prawn cheong fun, chicken feet and mango sago dessert. Love it!

This place used to be a Shark Fin Yum Cha/Chinese Restaurant and when it was that, the quality was good and competitive.

However we visited this place recently and found that the standard has dropped considerably when compared to other venues such as Tai Pan or even the newer places such as Secret Kitchen.

The waiters had to be constantly flagged down to refill the tea pots and when some of the dim sum came out it was cold and we had to send it back to be reheated. The options available - it was a Wednesday also appeared limited compared to other yum cha places and the poor trolley ladies were coming back again and again with the same items that did not sell. Maybe because it was a weekday they were not able to provide such variety?

From the perspective of quality and value it was nothing exciting and the taste was just ok to good. Overall we were disappointed because there is another Gold leaf in Springvale which is the sister restaurant and it is always busy and has a great range and good service.

Approximate cost: $6

This is our goto place for Yum Cha whenever there is a special occasion or out of town visitors.
The variety of dishes served up is more than I've ever seen at any yum cha restaurant. You really have to exert some serious self control in order to not completely overstuff yourself before the dessert carts start coming through. All the usual yum cha favorites are there as well as some exciting new dishes.
Prices are pretty steep so don't go there expecting a bargain. There are some fairly big eaters in our group and we average about $40 per person. But we're pretty stuffed by the end and ready for a nap.

Approximate cost: $40

When I crave for Yum Cha, Gold Leaf Chinese Restaurant will be amongst the top of my go to list.

There's definitely no shortage of parking lots here nor are there any shortage on customers as this place is extremely popular so reservations are highly recommended.

The restaurant is huge, clean, classically decorated with a wide spread of Yum Cha dishes and most importantly, the quality as well as the taste which are excellent.

Expect certain level of noise pollution and the services provided might not be consistent as I've been experienced both good and bad.

Like this branch than the one in Springvale. Better ambience, newer interior. Their dim sum are served on push cart and served steaming hot. Ample carpark at the restaurants and not as busy as Springvale.

Approximate cost: $7-10

Went for dim-sum when my in-law came to visit recently. Will definitely go back again! Nice and clean ambience. We also brought our own pu-er tea.

Approximate cost: $8-10
