I was recommended to contact Gosford Removals & Storage for my interstate move from Forresters Beach NSW to Macleay Island QLD, and I’m so glad I did. Darren came by in person to assess my items and provide an estimate, and Cathie in the office was always incredibly helpful and reassuring on the phone. They clearly explained the timeline and logistics, including barge transport, and their quote was extremely reasonable considering the distance — not much more than my previous Sydney to Forresters Beach move!

The loading team arrived right on schedule and worked efficiently to pack my entire life into the container with great care. Every piece of furniture was wrapped in pads and blankets, and delicate items were handled with care. They kept me reassured the whole time that everything would be well looked after.

Dylan, the driver, and his interstate helper arrived on the same ferry as me and had everything unloaded within an hour — all done with good humour and a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. After unpacking, I was thrilled to find that every item arrived safely and intact. I also appreciated the helpful YouTube packing videos shared by the team pre-move — such a thoughtful touch!

Gosford Furniture removals turned up on time at Holsworthy (~8:30), the boys worked tirelessly in a 2 story duplex to pack everything up - we had already boxed everything, but they brought wardrobe boxes and blankets with them anyway - and were on their way to Gosford by 12 ish. Unpacked everything by 4 in the afternoon. No breakages, no damage to walls or furniture, so overall could not be happier. I spent a lot of time looking at removalist reviews before settling on GFRS and would definitely use again.

Was allocated this company for DHA removal. Excellent communication and quick response to query. Uplift and down lift very quick with a knowledgeable removalist managing the team in each location. Picked up empty boxes on same day as requested. Can not fault service.

I have used Gosford Removals twice and would highly recommend them. They moved my 85yr old mother and even removed old furniture from the house and put it out for council collection, we were very grateful for that. in both moves nothing was broken or damaged.

We recently moved from the Central Coast to the Tweed Shire (8 hrs away) and used both the packing and moving services. The team were fantastic in getting our house packed up quickly, it was a dream not having to pack up our house and we were basically able to live in it like usual right up until the day before we moved! They then held onto our furniture until we needed it a few days later. They took great care loading & unloading everything for us! Overall a fantastic service and we would highly recommend them!

We’ve just completed our second move with Gosford Removals and Storage. The entire process went perfectly from the initial quote through to pickup and delivery at our new home. Having had a couple of bad experiences in the past with other move companies, I always feel uncomfortable booking a removalist and hope it will be a smooth process without hiccups. Both moves with these guys have been 100% stress free. Gary also went above and beyond and helped move some heavy items which were unrelated to the move. 5/5 stars for service, professionalism, organization and care for our furniture etc. Thanks guys, see you for our next move.

A disappointing interaction. Most of my furniture was to go into storage and the rest to my new home. Even though everything was labelled a number of boxes ended up on the wrong truck. Including the eskies with all my food. That ended up going into storage. I didn’t get them back till the next afternoon and I had to throw half the food out. Then they wanted to charge me an additional $650.00 to bring my furniture to Lake Macquarie. I had already paid for this in the original quote. When I said I wasn’t interested in paying this the deal went sour. The excuses started coming out.
The driveway was too steep. We can’t get the truck down there which was rubbish. I’d had much larger trucks down my driveway.
I won’t be doing business with them again.

I was very impressed with Gary and Simon who transported my belonging to Sydney at the end of June. They were friendly, co-operative and very professional during the pack up and removal.

I would highly recommend if you need to move to use these guys. From the quote till the last item is unloaded. So professional and get the job done right at a very reasonable cost. The team were absolutely fantastic, nothing was a bother (even when I changed my mind about where something should go more than once) they don’t muck around and get the job done and are highly respectful of your property and belongings.
