Actually went for dessert which is amazing and quite unique.
"homemade tofu ice cream"
I tried the Black Sesame and French rose vanilla flavour. It was delicious and there was no real discernable tofu flavour at all. Just a slight lingering nuttiness.

I've enjoyed this buffet for years. These days a medium helping (sold by weight) is at least $15, so if you're new to the buffet, just buy a tiny amount of everything to try, then go back for a second plate full of the ones you like. My favorites are the stuffed mushrooms with gravy & the faux fishballs with broccoli, but there's usually a lot of variety.

This is the best vegan restaurant in Sydney. They offer a buffet lunch that is affordable and charged by weight. Their dinner menu is extensive, with dumplings, mock meat, soups, rice and noodle dishes. My favourite dishes are actually the soups. They also sell desserts that are vegan. Top quality.

Approximate cost: $20

Green gourmet is one of the yummiest restaurants in Newtown. They have fantastic wholesome vegetarian dishes fit for everyone. I found their California Paradise Cake to be their best dessert dish.

This place is great and has a variety of options. The food though did not look fresh and was cooked in some cases for too long. We went there a few years ago now for Father's day and was not so happy with what we had. There were other options however that looked nicer

I was dissapointed when attending this place for a birthday party in a large group. We ordered a large amount of food between our table and were dissapointed that we were not allowed to bring the birthday cake that we had for the occasion and had to go accross the road afterwards to a coffee shop to sing happy birthday because the cake contained eggs. (apparently) and we could not have it in there.A great place to go if you LOVE tofu, however.

Hi Darrenn2, while we personally understand (and empathize with) the business’s ‘ethical’ position, given that such behaviour can (more often than not) be perceived in a ‘negative’ manner, it does little to advance the cause and can (in some cases) be seen as inflammatory. Needless to say, such behaviour does little to encourage a change in the dietary/lifestyle habits of the uninitiated. On a personal note, one of the organizations we are affiliated with faces a similar dilemma and while we do not encourage the use of certain products/ingredients, we do not segregate those who choose to use them, but instead work toward educating them so that they can make more intelligent, conscious and healthful food choices. Thanks for the heads-up! Reeces

Celbrated my birthday at this vegetarian restaurant and the food was fabulous it is also Vegan We had the buffet where
they weigh your plate of food as to how much you owe. There were three of us and the meal only came to under $40.00 There is no alcohol allowed to be consumed on the premises and we had a wonderful tasting coconut and mint
drink. It is very casual no dressing up any very clean They
run a grocery store next door so you can buy some of their
yummy and healthy foods. Their Ice cream is served in crispy cones and tastes great for vegan food. I bought home some Ginger & Date Ice cream for my friend who recommended me to this restaurant

Approximate cost: $10.00
