Good option for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Lots of "fake meat" choices on the menu. "Peking not duck" is a family favourite.

Service is par for a small restaurant.

Approximate cost: $50

The food here is always quite nice. I have been many times.

Once we were there the waitress came to our table a number of times and asked if we wanted to order. I said we would like to wait a little longer. She commented, "Oh, lucky we are not busy", and gave me this horrible stare. I thought she was so rude.

The last time i went back everything seemed to taste the same...not so fresh and cooked too much. We thought we could cook fresher and cheaper food at home.

That's a shame about the waitress. We were treated quite well when we came in January 2015.

A bit pricey but worth it. Great fresh wholesome food. Love the 'Monks choice' hot pot and the 'not meat Shan Tung chicken'. The sticky rice and banana pudding is a yummy dessert without it feeling too naughty. The food is amazing
My favourite is the curry puffs for the entree, and for the main the golden plum slice (with brown rice).
The service is good!

My husband liked the Shan Tung chicken as well. Haven't tried those other dishes yet, but would love to when we come again in future.

I have been once and although I'm not vegetarian, I would love to take some friends. I have always been a sucker for fried beancurd skins. Well, these are available along with all sorts of yummy variations of soy products cooked in a plethora of ways. But there are heaps of other tasty things on offer - the menu has well over 100 items.
This is a vegan restaurant run by Taoists, so the they encourage no alcohol to be consumed on the premised.

I love this place. The food is fantastic - really tasty, yet never too heavy or rich. Everything is really well-prepared. You can get a feast for two for about $50, making it great value. The staff are all very pleasant.

This place was a better experience than its Newtown counterparts. The food is good, and I'm not vegetarian, Number 22 on their menu is like char keow teoy and its full of flavour. My other friends really enjoyed it too. Even if you're not a vegetarian, its worth a try, their substitute meat was quite similar to the real thing.

Food didn't take too long to come out and service was friendly. The overall bill was roughly $17 each person so its actually good value.
