The Greengate Hotel really is a staple for those on the North Shore of Sydney especially for university students.

Service really isnt great and beers are a little on the expensive side.

In relation to the food it isnt bad but it isnt amazing. I went to put tomato sauce on my burger and because they didnt label the bottle I ended up putting chilli sauce on it which made the burger inedible. I complained to the staff but they said it was my fault (which I half agree with) so i just asked they label the bottles now as the venue is dark inside and you really cant see the difference.

Good for groups.

Just a low class pub with young staff and just the usual pub food (the quality depends on which depends on the chef of the day). A place to be avoided after dark. I was not overly impressed.

Went there for lunch with a couple of kids in tow. Child friendly, but was not overly impressed with the food. Pretty crowded.

Hot food, salad, drinks, pool table.

Variety of food. live music every now and then.
Things aren't so expensive, most on the menu taste decent except for the tempura salad, avoid it like a plague.

They do seem to close a bit early, so not a place to go late night.

I have only been to the Highway bay and not eaten in the main restaurant, however this is a great place to watch sport - loads of TV's so you always get a good view. They do a good $8.50 steak on a Monday and have loads of other specials on other nights too.

Can sometimes get a bit crowded and noisy though. Good family environment, my sister won a colouring competition their once and got a great prize pack and they also have gameboys to hire out to occupy the kids for the evening. Great menu and normally good atmosphere!
