Very disappointed and upset about handling of my billard table of Handy Truck I contacted Handy Truck to pickup and deliver a billard table that in perfect, unmarked condition. When contacted by Handy truck I mentioned via text I would wrap the table using my own wrapping blanket but if he can use his in top to protect further to which they agreed . Unfortunately the table was delivered without ANY packing blanket , just the billard cover , face down and was dragged off the truck, dropped a few inches then pivoted on its side on aggregate concrete and thus causing damage to the side and top of the table... How the table can be delivered without protection is beyond me.. After numerous calls to Handy truck we are yet to receive any compensation for damages cause, even any aggreance that the driver was careless... The table is irreparable . Handy Truck will not answer my calls or call me back. So please think twice about using Handy Truck .. Plenty of better options out there.

Booking was for 2pm.

I left work extra early to ensure I was at the property in time to move a small amount of furniture we’d organised to be taken from an unoccupied property that was for sale.

2.15pm, I call to see where they were, some lady says they are coming at around 3.20-3.30. I patiently wait until then. Trying to busy myself by organising things and getting as much as I could closer to the front door.

3.30 comes and goes. At 4.20 I hear a truck pull up. I promise myself to remain cool, expecting that as a business owner myself there would be some sort of genuine apology and gesture to demonstrate that.

4.28 still no one at the door, I thought, perhaps I was mistaken. I text, where are you? The response “we’re here, but we are starting at 4.30 now”
I’m thinking to myself are these people for real?????

Sado leaves a customer waiting for 2 and a half hours, without so much as a care, and demonstrate their lack of care by sitting in their truck for 8 more minutes to start the clock at an even number 4.30!!!!

Omg I could barely hold it together by this point, and the lady - the owner no less, says “don’t worry we won’t be charging you from 2pm because we came late” LOL wow this lady sure is special.

I replied something like, “I know, I’ll be paying you for your time to move this furniture (two minute drive away) and definitely not paying a 2 hour minimum call out fee for possibly 30 minutes of work when you arrive 2 and a half hours late!!

Lady doesn’t budge on “company”policy LOL. I sent them on their merry way.

The guy that was with her was apologetic, seemed reasonable and seemed to silently understand the absurdity of this lady’s audacity.

Her on the other hand - completely ignorant, arrogant. Zero understanding on fair customer service.

This service was fantastic. We used Handy Trucks during COVID-19 lockdown to pick up some furniture from IKEA and deliver it to our home. They were quick to give us a quote (which was very affordable), the team was friendly and professional, and the on the phone staff were accommodating and flexible regarding restricted pick up and delivery timeframes. Thoroughly impressed. Use these guys!

Excellent communication about the whole process. My mum was super impressed with the tradesman turning up a few minutes before the allocated time with a 'no fuss attitude for the sofa couch pick up. We will be using the service again. Highly recommend. Thank you Salman (tradesman).
