Food was edible but not outstanding.
The pork used on Bahn Mi appears not to be pork belly with the crackle and meat put on the roll separately. Perhaps a cost cutting exercise, certainly an exercise in reducing taste and quality.

Minimum eftpos 10 dollars which seems ridiculous in this day and age, with the pricing of items just under this meaning it’s a mandatory round up of price.

When I pointed out that the minimum on eftpos is uncommon I was told “most places have a minimum of $25” as if I was some idiot who has never made a purchase before and would believe that.

Wouldn’t go back, poor attitude, average food

Good food but no variety so can get a little boring. Great friendly staff. I would recommend especially as there are very few places this end of town.

The first time I had encountered Happy Bite Snack Bar, I was walking along the street after a job interview and I realised that my new shoes were making the backs of my feet bleed. It was awful, so I ducked into the nearest cafe to see if I could buy some band-aids. That cafe was Happy Bite Snack Bar, and the lovely lady behind the counter gave me some without charge. She was so nice, I promised myself I would have to go back and buy my lunch from them a few times. I have since gone there a few times, just to grab things whilst I am doing errands or whatnot, but the service is always friendly, and it makes me happy to know that there are still people out there who will help someone out just for the joy of it!

I haven't tried their banh mi yet, but it's on the list!!!

Another day, another good find.
This one is Vietnamese and thus serves Pork Rolls among their various other 'Western' offerings.
I like the fact they've provided for vegetarians with their tofu range. Give it a go. It's not the best in town, but it's probably the only one in this quadrant of the city
