Was very happy shopping at Harvey Norman the staff are very happy and friendly and the store has great discounts. They are full of information about there products I think that is great Highly recomend for electical goods.

It is a big store so there is a range of staff with varying experience and service values, but they are still quite good at providing service and good information. I have bought a number of items here and have been very happy with the sale from beginning to end. They do good deals, and the thing I value the most is the staff are respectful of their customers and their existing knowledge regardless of gender. They should be complimented on this, because when I shop the first thing I expect is to be seen as a customer and not be stereotyped by my gender, so the since I mostly end up buying from this Harvey Norman starts because they have always treated me with the equal respect we all deserve as people!

A few years ago i purchased a 5,000.00 mattress and have found it to be the most uncomfortable thing to sleep on, Harvey Norman has been very helpful in providing me with a replacement mattress that will suit my needs, for only 1,000.00. Very good service.

My Sales person jack, was absolutely fantastic.
I bought a new washing machine. Fantastic product knowledge, cheapest price I found.
My only problem was with the cashier who was quite unpleasant.

I went in to buy a computer, after all the sales hype trying to sell extras I finally got to the point where I signed a form saying no to virus scanner (I have one for 3 computers) and no to a lot of other stuff including extended warranty. Then the dept manager looked at the sale and said "you need extended warranty" he then changed the form that I had signed and put that I wanted a warranty and added it to my final bill. I know I should have walked out and not purchased the computer. He was so pushy and I was pressured into paying for an extended warranty I did not even want. He tried to force me into buying lots of other stuff but he finally believed that I had no more money, but only after suggesting finance.

I bought a laptop from this store recently. I found the salesman I dealt with to be condescending and pushy and he clowned around attempting jokes during our entire dealings, which I felt was inappropriate. The manager put pressure on me to spend another $2000.00 which I could not afford and I walked out of the store feeling like a cheapskate and also very confused about what I had just purchased.

We recently purchased a GPS from Harvey Norman. They always have great specials, friendly & helpful service & a really good range. Hubby also bought something else, he had a problem with it & took it back & got a full refund.

I purchased a 3 seater swing, as a gift, from Harvey Norman, Bennnetts Green.
We realized it was going to be too big for my son's patio. We did NOT open the box and I have the receipt. When I asked for refund, I was told "they do not sell goods, to give refunds, for whatever reason". I tried to explain the situation, but Manager became quite rude and said no refunds given. I phoned Head Office and lady there said she would ring the store and that I would hear from them soon. I didn't hear from them, so phoned this lady again and she again rang the store. I received a phone call, several days later, from the manager. He said they would take the swing back, but take $99.00 for cancellation fees. I think this is outrageous and is "highway robbery", as I know he will sell the swing for the full price. I have a swing myself and this was why I bought this one for my son and his family. I feel consumers should have RIGHTS too and as the box is unopened and I have the receipt, I feel I should be entitled to a FULL refund. Can you help me to get a FULL refund ?
I will tell everyone about this terrible experience and advise them not to shop at Harvey Norman, Bennetts Green.
