To say I am upset is an understatement.
I have spent yrs growing my hair out. I have an autoimmune disease which causes my hair to thin out so trying to grow it is super hard. My hair was down to my bra line all one length.
I booked myself in for a treat thinking if I go to an "Award winning salon" I would get a decent cut..
I brought in a Picture of what I wanted. I showed the hairdresser and specifically told her DO NOT CUT MY HAIR INTO A SHORT BOB.This was verbatim..
Showed her the picture twice..
I wanted a medium length textured cut and style just below the shoulders..
I ended up with a short bob 2 inchs above my shoulders.
I told her I hated it , there's no layers.. she apologised and said " it's too short to layer now"
There was no style to it , she finger dried it.
I told the receptionist I was not happy but still had to pay.the receptionist was "oh well we cant stick it back on can we" very blazé...
They gave me a free treatment.
Upon contacting the salon requesting a refund the manager /owner said clearly there was miscommunication between me and the hairdresser and basically said we have a no refund policy.
What i padi for looked like it was cut by a first year apprentice..
My hair is 3 inches too short and crooked.
I have a function to attend Feb 2021 and now my hair is too short to style

Im now seeking legal advice.
If i could post photos I would.

I found this salon to be very expensive and judging from my recent experience I do not agree with how they treat their customers. I recently paid Heading Out Hair and Beauty in Balwyn North $380 for a ¼ head foils, tint regrowth, trim and blow wave. I complained to the hairdresser 3 times during the application of the foils that my scalp was burning. When I got home I discovered open weeping wounds on my scalp in the ¼ head area where the foils were applied. I called the salon and spoke to the owner who asked me to come into the Heading Out branch in Fitzroy the next day to be assessed. I did so and was told by the manager at Fitzroy branch that I had bleach burns and said the hairdresser at Balwyn should have rinsed the product off immediately when I first complained. She applied some scalp oil to the wounds and told me not to wash my hair for at least a week. Three days later I sent an email to the owner requesting a refund for the colour service. I didn't feel it was right to charge me so much for something that resulted in wounds to my scalp and horrible dirty hair for a week. I also consulted another qualified hairdresser who told me I should be able to get the cost of the colour refunded because the service was incorrectly carried out. Heading Out did not reply to my email for over a week, despite attempts to contact them again. When I eventually heard back from the manager at Fitzroy almost 2 weeks after the original service I was told they would not refund me and I had no proof the wounds were bleach burn, despite the fact that is exactly what I was told they were when I was "assessed" in the Fitzroy branch. Conveniently for them it was too late at that stage to have a doctor access my scalp because they had waited so long to reply to my email, a clever strategy it seems to me. I will never go back to any Heading Out salon.

I found Caterina through a hair magazine when I was searching for a hairdresser that knows how to do platnium blond and I came across her some of her work, I went to see her last year for a consultation and ever since I have been getting my hair colour done by her, she is absolutely amazing with my hair colour she gets exactly the right platnium blond compared to all other hairdressers out there I have tried which is not the yellow colour. She is a little pricey but the ultimate result is worth the price I pay. All her staff are friendly and its comfortable where you dont feel out of place like some hairsalons, and shes also quite well known in the fashion & beauty industry.

I went for a birthday facial, hair cut and colour. The stylist was great and the colour was perfect, I was a little scared as they cut me a fringe but I love the cut and have had more compliments than ever - normally no one notices when I have my hair cut, It was great and i will definitely go back.
