I was one of those kids that would cry and fight if I had to go to a dentist. When I became an adult and had to find a dentist in Melbourne, I thanked all the gods that I found Dr Patel at Healthy Smiles. He's absolutely brilliant in what he does and for someone that's so sensitive to pain like me, he always took his time and made sure I was comfortable every 5 minutes in every procedure. Mind you, I had two root canal procedures done about two or three years ago (blame my fear of going to dentists when I was younger so I had bad teeth) and my perception of a dentist changed forever because Dr Patel is nothing like a dentist I had when I was a kid. He's attentive, kind and professional. I devoted myself to continue having my regular check ups and occasional small fillings where he is in Blackburn when I moved to Bundoora. That's how good he is and the rest of the people in this practice. The receptionists and other dentists are amazing and treat customers with respect.

Anyway back to old review:
I used to hate dentists more than most, major dental damage as a teen and horrid teeth as an adult due to fears and anxiety.

I now have no issues smiling due to the work done here.

I still have some anxiety issues before i go but the team here understand and actually make me so comfortable and ZERO PAIN!!

Have more work planned but for now I am happier than ever and I can smile for the first time in 20+years!

I tell everyone to come here!!

Place looks average at best on the outside but its actually very nice inside and has the most caring team of people that have convinced this nervous wreck that not all dentists are bad.

Took the time to listen to my concerns and fears and actually made me feel at ease. If you're unsure pop past and meet someone there, you'll know straight away if its the place for you.

Absolutely amazing!!! I love everyone at this practice & I can go honestly say they have helped a once phobic patient become willing to regularly visit the dentist! I can't thank them enough for their kindness & professionalism. Seriously wonderful business.
