A great throwback bar, tucked away in a Melbourne laneway and then up a flight of stairs. Despite going on a Saturday night, the bar wasn't packed, which kept the casual vibe. Bar staff were friendly and helpful with picking a drink. Decor was pretty funky, with a 60s vibe. I didn't get to check out the menu, but the food I saw coming out for other people looked pretty tasty. I'll have to head back to get an extra dose of the experience next time.

Honestly, I love this place for it's location and it's staff. It's really one of those word-of-mouth places as you'd unlikely never find it unless you're the adventurous type. The staff have an efficiency that defies their almost Faulty Towers appearance. It feels like a step back into the 60's and the view out the window from your table could be any super-dense metropolis in the world from Hong Kong to New York depending on the weather. The food is just something that happens here - it's not important and it wont kill or offend you...you're really here for the ambience.

Approximate cost: $14

Went here for a quick lunch with a couple of work friends - Quite a tight squeeze on the second story looking over the lane way but the decor is interesting and strangely warm.
The food was good though it was by no means quick - probably because they had one girl waiting on all of the tables as well as taking care of drinks.
I'd say the menu had a Mediterranean feel to it, mostly Greek and even though the selection wasn't huge, everything looked nice as well as healthy.
It was okay but nothing to write home about.

I'd heard about Hell's Kitchen a few times and always wanted to go, but never got around to it. I went with a friend for lunch this week and really enjoyed it. We went upstairs where you can get a table and look down on the people passing through the lane at lunchtime. Good for a quick lunch during the week. A small menu, reasonably priced, good service, tasty food and beers on tap. Love rhe atmosphere.

Approximate cost: $9-15

Excellent coffee. Great view of the french style balconies on Centre Way Walk. the grafitti wall is at the end. Not your normal cafe.. it is also a bar.
