I ordered a white chocolate cake for my Mums 80th Birthday and it was the best cake ever.

I was looking for a place that would do a Vanilla Slice cake for my daughter's birthday and I'm so glad I found this gem! The vanilla slice was divine - a lovely crisp pastry and yummy custard. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The slice was a hit with my guests. I'll definitely be going back!

Not at all local to the area, I came up to cover a shift for someone in a store nearby. Went looking for something to eat and Herzog looked quite nice. The lady was nice to me, and I made a normal lunchy order without much enthusiasm - I was butt tired and sore and grumpy. Walked out with two party pies, water and a sweet.

OMG! Apple and custard tart all the way -it was so amazing! The pastry was nice, the custard was set and the apples in the bottom ... it was like an apple pie with custard top. So good!!!!! Cannot rave enough!

Love ths bakery, especiallly the crusty loaves on friday. Lovely quickes and very european. I find the service kinda cranky but it seems to fit somehow. Looking quite glamourous since it was refitted

This is by far the BEST bakery in Melbourne !! I am a local to Kew and visit this bakery at least once a week :-) Food is well displayed, staff are always friendly and happy. Most of all - the food is perfect every time! YUMMMMYYY. Too many choices to have a singular favourite but the bagels and bread are definitely number 1 - always fresh and they cook everything themselves on the premesis.

Used to be our local bakery. Everything was always fresh and yummy. Love their custard donuts, always jam packed with custard.
They also did our wedding cake. The cake was very very lovely and very tasty. They were very helpful in providing advice and ensuring the cake was how we wanted it.

This is one of the best bakeries in Melbourne! I've sampled quite a few items here and each bite has been memorable. The pies are perfect, with good meat and lots of it; the sausage rolls are incredible; the cakes (eg, the Japonais)are...no words to describe. I want to know how they do their pastry. I believe the bakery's been there for a while but I've only just stumbled across it when I was in the 'hood looking for food to take back to a group at Hays Paddock. I've been back several times since then and have never been disappointed. The staff are really cheery, too. I find the prices OK, considering the quality of food.
