Jack Ruby

This place is brilliant. I recently celebrated my birthday here with friends, they happily accommodated our reasonably large group. The food was just as fabulous as I had remember from my last visit, very busy, a lively joint, a lot of fun, an enjoyable evening.

How awesome is this place! I love the decor and there's just a massive touch of class here.
The people are friendly and there's a brilliant buzz about.

You will find Jack Ruby in a basement off king william street, nicely decorated and comfortable, we felt like we were in an American Diner.

I tried this place out with a group of friends for a christmas get together as we had heard some good things about it. We started with some jalapeno poppers which could have been a bit hotter and cooked longer. The mac n cheese balls were interesting and loved by all as were the buffalo wings. My Tex Walker burger certainly was tasty but not worth the $20. However, the onion rings were worth every cent, an absolute must have.

Service were friendly but very slow, although they were extremely busy. At least all the meals and drinks arrived together. They offer some very tasty meals, but I think the prices are a bit high, will only return for a special occasion.
