4 reviews about Jaffa By Rob And Allen

Went back to Jaffa as a friend's daughter was doing some work experience and wanted to show some support.

I ordered a coffee and it came out fairly quickly. Nice coffee at a reasonable price $4, nicely presented with a jaffa on the spoon.

When I went to pay, despite there being no one else at the counter, I was ignored, it felt like all staff members were avoiding eye contact. A friendly comment of "be with you soon" would have been nice.

While waiting I saw a staff member serving up a coffee by putting her ungloved hand into the Jaffa jar and putting the Jaffa on the plate - despite there being a spoon in the jar to fish them out.

I ended up asking if anyone was going to take my money. I felt that I was interrupting!

Another odd thing I noticed was the way the burgers were served, with a steak knife stabbed through the centre. Maybe that is the new way?

Another disappointing experience at this café.

Approximate cost: $4

I have been served a burger this way before and also thought it was odd!

I dine here often, mainly breakfast and it is always excellent and great value for money. The meal portions are a decent size.
The staff are pleasant and always helpful and will tailor your meal to your requirements.

Approximate cost: $14.00

This is good for a casual brekkie or lunch but could be so much better with a little work. The staff were friendly and helpful but a little distracted. The food was good - exactly what was expected from a local cafe. Overall its fine and does the job. Good coffee, reasonably priced. But they need to work on the presentation, especially ensuring the floors are clean!

I had heard good things about this place but unfortunately ur experience didn't reflect them.

When we arrived we had to wait a while for a table as there were no staff at the counter.

My coffee came out reasonably quickly, but we had to catch the attention of a waitperson 3 times before the orange juice arrived. Meanwhile I had finished my coffee.

After about 25 minutes, the waitress came back to the table to tell me that they had run out of what I had ordered and I had to order something else. I would have expected to be told that after 5 minutes.

Meal came out at different times and they both seemed like they were just thrown together.

The floor around our table was filthy, there had been a large group of people with children that left as we were arriving and the kids were left to run rampant and they had spread food everywhere. That is not the restaurants fault of course, but in the hour we were there, there was no attempt to even sweep the food into a pile.

Very poor experience. If they were too busy or running out of food I would have prefered that they say so and we could make the choice of whether to eat there or not rather than waste our money and ruin the cafe's reputation.
