You have to try the Tandoori Mushrooms here! The prawn sambal is amazing too
Real nice food, prompt attentive friendly staff.
The best Indian restaurant I have been to hands down. An experience to savour rather than just another Indian restaurant. Try the tandoori lamb, the mushrooms, samosas and the cheese naan.
Without a doubt one of the best Indian restaraunts in Adelaide. Beautiful place with so friendly staff. The food quality here is magnificent, the chef really knows what they are doing!
Once again a fabulous experience at the Jasmin Indian Restaurant farewelling a work colleague. This certainly is one of my favourite Indian Restaurants, very classy and yes expenisve. The food and service here is perfect, consistantly excellent.
We ordered a banquet for 10 people and I must say prawn sambal served with a spicy sauce really had my tastebuds going, preparing me for the HOT beef vindaloo which was outstanding. The butter and tikka chicken was so authentic, just delicious cuisine served with cheese naan bread, mango chutney and raita.
A fabulous Indian restaurant for special occassions.
This is one very classy indian restaurant, tastefully decorated, extremely attentive staff and the most delicious authentic indian cuisine. Their menu is quite extensive with mains prices at around $25. We decided that the banquet would suit us best as we wanted to try so many different meals. They have two options for the banquets either Hungry at $48pp or Starving at $57pp. We decided the Starving as we were quite hungry and there was so much on offer. My absolute favourite was the Beef Vindaloo, it was perfect, the meat so tender and it was hot the way I prefer it. My wife loved the butter chicken, everything item on our menu was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Ourstanding service and outstanding indian cuisine.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have been there once, the prize is bit high however the food was really good compared to the prize. This is really my type of restaurant and food. Love to visit them next time and try some really new things.
They certainly serve up some delicious meals here.
Wonderful experience. I have passed this restaurant so many times wanting to try it and I'm so glad I finally did. The entrance is very unassuming so you could walk past without noticing too much. And once you step inside, you'll see why the name of the restaurant speaks for itself. The whole experience was excellent. Unique art work hangs on the walls, with soft lighting (plenty to enjoy your meal and company, and not too dark), and lovely decor. The food is absolutely delicious - delicate, beautiful flavours. One of the best Indian meals I have had (and I've had a lot!). Really a taste sensation. The owner explained the rich family history of the restaurant and the love and attention that goes in to the recipes and preparation of each dish. Dishes are tastefully presented and the staff are friendly, professional and unobtrusive. Great selection across the menu.
Bookings are essential. We lingered after the meal for several hours and the staff were so welcoming and warm. There was no one hanging over the table waiting for us to finish. Rare to find a restaurant in Adelaide that is open this late on a week night. Highly recommend!
Approximate cost: $26-$28
The Jasmine has a warm exotic ambience and delicious Indian curries with meals available on the menu suitable for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans, with gluten free and lactose free options available. The friendly and efficient service is top notch, every time we visit. For vegetarians, our favorite dish is the eggplant curry. The vegetarian thali is very good value and we love that they offer BYO so we can bring our favorite wines.
Unexpectedly, you are not immediately hit with an overwhelming aroma. Perhaps it is the quiet and subtle lighting. But when you have made a selection from the expansive and authentic menu and your choice arrives at the table, your senses come to life and you know you are in India! Somewhat expensive but worth it for the experience. My favorite the Rogan Josh, is not overwhelmed by oil as can be the case with other restaurants. Prices for mains start at around $30. No rush, just efficient friendly staff. I highly recommend them!!!!!!!
Approximate cost: $30+
Hands down the best Indian in Adelaide!!!
You really can't go wrong at Jasmine Indian Restaurant. The place is beautiful, very intimate and the staff are exceptional.
The food is the most delicious Indian food I have ever had. My personal favourite is the beef malabar, the raita, tandoori lamb cutlets and the cheese filled naan bread. My husband loves the tandoori chicken and butter chicken.
Make sure you book as they are extremely popular!
Approximate cost: $26.00
This is still the best Indian restaurant in Adelaide, even after all these years. Food is fresh and seems authentic, great range. We went there on our last date night, but were hurried prior to going to movie due to issues with kids, and the staff happily pulled together a range of dishes to suit our taste and allergies and served it in a very friendly and timely manner. Great!
Service has always been very good and friendly. Will also help you make the tough decisions - what to choose. Food is tasty.
How disappointing,
Having eaten here since 1984 I could think of nowhere I'd rather take a visiting friend from NYC for a pre-Xmas dinner to show them the world class food that Adelaide has to offer. So how is it that on a Friday night they can annouce that they have run out!!?? of Tindaloo and Chapati? Yes, the food was good - although not of a standard of year's past - but to run out of menu items at 8pm on a Friday night........unacceptable!! Overall the food was acceptable, but not of the spectacular quality that this restaurant has built it's reputation on. It is sad to see an Adelaide icon slipping.
Approximate cost: $30.00
Our family have been coming here for 30 years originally to the upstairs venue. It says a lot that this restaurant has not only survived but gone from strength to strength. We always bring our overseas visitors here for a lovely dining experience. The food is superb and the service faultless - well done!
Approximate cost: $23
My husband and I go to this restaurant each year for our anniversary, have done for many years. It is a special place for us, brilliant food, excellent service and a wonderful dining experience, i love the romantically lit dining room. We recommend it to all and anyone who will listen. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality of the food is well worth the cost. Love, love love.
Approximate cost: $21.00
I would go so far as to say Jasmin does the best Indian food in Adelaide. They are a bit on the pricey side and the restaurant is a little squishy but the food more than makes up for that.
Jasmin has the best quality Indian food in Adelaide. Although a bit pricy, if you go with a group of people and share a few dishes it is well worth it. The banquets are fantastic, you get to try a lot of dishes which is so filling that I can never fit in desert! The restaurant has great decor and the service is fantastic.
Love Love Love it here! This is the place all my friends go for big birthdays and celebrations - we make lots of noise (but spend lots of money!) and the service is excellent! The banquet is great value - and for the three of us that are Vego's they bring us out our own little banquet.
If you haven't tried this place - you must! You will not be dissapointed!
good food and excellent service.
i love this place .me and my partner goes all the time.lovely place
The most romantic restaurant in Adelaide. The best food and great service :) My partner and I go there all the time.
Approximate cost: $25
lovely staff helped us choose between so many things we could actually eat! vege's reign supreme. they were happy to spice it up for us, and gave us a selection of sauces.
Jasmine really is Adelaide's premier Indian Restaurant - the quality of food, service and beautiful dining room make for a wonderful dining experience. It is a relaxed and lovely atmosphere, the food is 10/10 and they offer a very good wine list - for an evening to remember I would highly recommend for a special occasion as it can be a little pricey, however it is well worth it
Jasmin is a truly magnificent restaurant, and stands out among Indian restaurants in Adelaide - the swathe of awards which have been given to Jasmin is a testament to their quality! The soft lighting and dark timber give Jasmin a beautiful ambiance, and although their food is on the expensive side, it's well worth it. I highly recommend their bhoona ghosht, the most tender lamb I've had in a long time! They also have an impressive wine list.
Approximate cost: $24
VERY NICE. DELICIOUS FOOD. EXCELLENT DINING EXPERIENCE. RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO AND TRY THEIR DELICIOUS MEALS. CURRY'S ARE PERFECT. LOVE THE STYLE OF RICE AVAILABLE AND ONE OF THE MOST ENJOYABLE MEALS I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME.
Approximate cost: $10.90
i have tried more than 10 indian restaurants in adelaide.
but nothing is better than this restaurant to me.
it meets the best standard in every sense from food to service.
once my friend and i ordered too much food and we had left more than half of it.
the staff packed the requested food cleanly in containers and gave them to me in a nice paper bag. ( not like visible plastic bags!)
Approximate cost: $25
Great Indian restaurant with the best Indian food in Adelaide. The Prawn Sambal is delicious (and the Butter Chicken a close second!). Has a great restaurant and takeaway is also available.
This is a high quality indian rstaurant in the heart of Adelaide city. Dining room also has a great ambiance. Great choice for the vegetarian also. If you love indian food, you will love this restaurant.
The service is fantastic, serving staff are friendly and professional. The food is delicious and they can cater for people with wheat, gluten and dairy allergies. Very swish at a reasonable price with mains starting at $21.50, a great wine list too with some wines starting at $28.00. A beautiful resturant that has it all. They maintain a high standard accross the board.
