Yummy burgers, lots of sauce for the chips, good milkshakes and drinks available. And convenient location to find.
Their burgers are definitely up there. Everything tasted so fresh and the beef was tender. It wasn't too busy and it had a nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff were quick to get your meal out to you. It is worth a visit if you are in the area.
Previously known as "Greasy Joe's" Not sure if the owners are the same but was curious why the name change etc. I never went to Greasy Joe's but used to pass there all the time ad I think the name did put us off.
I did a little search of the renamed place and liked the sound of their menu.
So I dropped in one night with my mum for some dinner.
Th burgers sounded amazing but we decided to order a "few things" and we would share.
This place has American style food but in much smaller sizes.
We ordered prawn sliders, yummy but needed more sauce and the buns needed toasting.
eggplant chips- ok but the eggplant was dried out.
Fried chicken nice but too spicy (I don't enjoy spicy food)
pumpkin crisps- yummy
Beer battered onion rings - yummy
and desserts
I had the chocolate cheescake ice cream sundae (delicious)
and a scoop of raspberry ice cream delicious
and my mother had the peanut butter cup also delicious.
Overall the food is pretty good.
I think the burgers would be Amazing.
The desserts are to die for. Everything is made in house except for the buns.
which to me is a great thing.
The sinks in the bathroom are really cool.
The soap is of top quality.I always am impressed by top quality liquid soap.
Great place.Looks like they have some great alcoholic beverages here too.
Prices are quite cheap and the quality is very good. The portions are quite small though.
Good service too
would come here again probably for a burger or for breakfast the waffles, sticky buns sound amazing.
This place is a st kilda institution, even my parents used to come here back in the day.
Last went here on a weekday afternoon, place was very quiet, and relaxing.
The burger was definitely old school style, no fancy bells or whistles, just reliable burger, kind of like a fish and chip shop burger, but a step up.
Nothing to write home about on the burger being anything ground breaking, but it is a good solid feed, and a nice bar to have a drink at, just off the busy st kilda shopping strip.
Worth a try, and one to tick off the list if you are a burger fiend.
sounds good! thanks for sharing!
i gotta get myself to Joe's soon!
best home made burgers ever! so yum! the burger with the lot was amazing. realy moist yummy flavoured beef. and the chicken burger was unreal!!! the the home made mayo is great! massive serving!! if you feel like a nice big fresh tasty burger , this is the place!!
Approximate cost: $15-30.00
Great location and not a bad meal. Not quite as high quality as you'd expect from a restaurant in the area. Coffee was milky and warm, not hot. Staff were ok, but not particularly friendly. It seemed a bit dirty and our table was sticky. But these are little things, it was a nice meal and they do a range of good breakfasts.
Approximate cost: $12.50+
It's the large breakfast complete with sausages, bacon, baked beans, mushrooms, eggs and more that make this place worth going to. You will need a big appetite as it is very filling. A little cramped, but this adds to the atmosphere.
The food was certainly large, not overly large though. The burgers were great.
The dessert was also good, apple crumble not too sweet and pecan pie really nice.
Approximate cost: $30
A great place for breakfast with a fabulous location right near luna park. The view to McDonalds is not great. Just off the main strip. Loads of outdoor seating and dogs are very welcome. Large serves, friendly service and fast. Standard prices.
