This place was definitely one of my top restaurants. I came here as much as possible and its quite a journey. the food was always SO DAMN AMAZING and TASTY and interesting. We got a banquet type set menu thing and honestly we couldnt keep eating. it was crazy.I think it's closed now though- Whcih is awfully sad. its a 5starer in my books though and an amazing place that was owned by previous masterchef contestants I was honestly surprised at how good they did

Approximate cost: $25-39

Josie Bones is my new favorite restaurant. The food was to die for.
It's run by that chris guy from master chef. The one with the hat and tats.
we got our table straight-away. We got there at 6:30. We were lucky because the othe 2 tables left went within 10 seconds of us sitting down.
We started with crackle and quail eggs wrapped in some sort of mince which was then crumbed and deep fried. And it came with an anchovies aiole. Devine.
We then had pig ears which come sort of like calamari with the same texture. And cooked to perfection. Just delicious. I prefer this to calamari and I love calamari!! We also had pork belly and as you can imagine. Just ridiculously good. As was the pork shoulder.
We even had some black pudding. Which I have never had before and it was also delicious.
As you can pptobably tell this place is about meat. But it Also does really good salads and veges too. We had the fig and goat cheese salad with anchovies.
The eggplant pumpkin thing was awesome! The fennel salad was great and refreshing. The corn with chorizo sauce was my favorite.
We basically tried the whole menu between 6 of us and it only came to 80 dollars each. And that was with amazing beers matched with the foods. Will definitely will be making this a regular for the years to come.
The service was amazing. Very informative and explained things well. Very friendly.
With a dark sophisticated yet casual setting, Josie Bones is wicked!
