This place is great for eating with my family, most of whom are vegetarian or vegan.
TBH, I'm not a huge fan of lentils or dhal, but the lentil pie at Joy Discovery is very tasty and the pastry just delicious. Their teas and (soy) smoothies are also great! If you're looking for a vegetarian or vegan place to eat, this will be a very Joyful Discovery.

After a previous disappointing attempt at a vegan lunch with friends we ended up here. A pity we didn't try this cafe first. I am not really into vegan food, I love my meat! However, I did try the mexican burger and it actually wasn't bad, infact, tasty. The also have curries and 'not dogs' on the menu as well as many salad and desserts. Everyone was extremely happy with their meals.

"Owned and operated by students of spiritual master, Sri Chinmoy" there are always weird videos playing of Sri Chinmoy painting to relaxing music, which I find quite quirky and funny. The food is great though, very vegan friendly. I love the Curry, Rice and Dhal, and also the hot dogs. They have heaps of nice desserts too. It's a very relaxing place with a steady flow of costomers. Plenty of seating and great prices for delicious food. One of my favourite places to eat in the city.

This little vegetarian cafe is tucked away just off of rundle st. I find it is quite a relaxing place to visit for lunch during a busy day. The quality of the food is fantastic and I must recommend the Curry, Rice and Dhal (C.R.D) - a very wholesome dish which is sure to leave you satisfied. The only thing which may put some people off is the cafe is owned and operated by "students of spiritual master, Sri Chinmoy". Do not let this deter you too much as it is not put across to the customers and they are still friendly - the philosophy is simply based on love and serving humanity.
Enjoy the food!
