Kepos St Kitchen has a interesting menu selection of middle East foods/dishes, cooked nicely, enjoyable and at good prices. Friendly service but just a little bit busy due to popularity.

Kepos Street Kitchen has to be one of the most popular cafes in Redfern located very close to Waterloo. There is always a que to get a table on a weekend. The staff are extremely friendly, coffee is excellent and it's hard to pay without also walking out with sweets from the counter. Very original sweets which change regularly.
As a vegetarian/sometime vegan I have limited options for lunch but I always love the cauliflower salad. Breakfast menu offers several vegetarian options but I noticed there are no vegan options which is common with most cafes but a shame as I'd love to go more often if the menu catered a little more for vegans. In saying that however the chef is very creative and the theme is very middle eastern and always tasty.
I haven't been for dinner yet and reservations are recommended. If you want excellent service and good food and don't mind spending an average of $14-!6 per meal it is well worth checking out Kepos Street Kitchen.

we had a delicious meal at Kepos kitchen. The service was great. The food was generous portions. Food style is "mediteranean" leaning towards Israel/North Africa. Very good balance of flavours and interesting menu, a menu with a difference and the food was tasty. The friendly service, atmosphere and attention to detail made us return for lunch that weekend & what a great experience!!! Might try it out again sometime just to see if there is any difference in service, as I really enjoyed the food.

This cafe is located towards the end of Kepos Street (right near Phiilip Street). Upon entering inside the homely style decor, makes you feel welcome as well as the politleness from the staff! The lighting is amazing in here especially considering how much light you can get from the large windows and big, white walls.

I had the homemade lemonade and the zucchini fritters which comes served with a poached egg, smoked salmon and some dill.

I also tried their churros with salted caramel which arrives on a chopping board!! Omg heaven in my mouth!!The churros were fluffy, light and coated in sugar and cinnamon and went well with the caramel sauce.

Will be back to try more things on the menu! Highly recommended!

Approximate cost: $10 +

For a great lunch with a twist, this is the place to go. We couldn't select from the menu so we pretty much had everything. Their salted caramel churros are to die for!
One down fall - you can't book and you have to wait in a queue for a table.
