This is my second time here and once again, extremely impressed with the quality of food served here. The restaurant overlooks the grape vines and it creates a really serene ambiance.
To start, we had the scallop and marron entrees respectively. Scallop had some celeriac or cauliflower puree and some squid ink balsamic glaze and you feel like licking the plate after ! at he marron was fresh and cooked to perfection, and came with a soft boiled quail egg and a square of eel and served in an Asian consommé.... Deliciousss!
For mains, my partner had the duck and I had the cone bay barramundi. Flavour explosion! The only tiny negative was that felt the mains were a little too salty.
the desserts were fresh and delicious.
All in all, beautifully presented and a jewel in the fine dining scene in Margaret River.

This Gold Plate winner truly deserves the accolade. I booked it with no expectations as I have not been there nor heard anything about it. But was I impressed. Set in a nice winery, the menu wasn't extensive but that's not a bad thing (about 4 choices each of mains, entree, dessert). We each ordered an entree and my partner had the cured kingfish and I had the soft egg with potatoes (came in a jar with smoke and egg was soft and nestled in a potato emulsion!). For mains, my partner had the pork belly and I had the slow cooked chicken and they were sensational. For dessert, I had dark chocolate, beetroot and seasalf and my partner had a carrot desert with carrot ice cream. I wanted to lick the plates.
The flavours for all dishes taste sublime, presentation sensational and modern. The only downside was the choice of the white plates (strange design, pretty 70s with grooved flowers or stars) and pork belly skin could be crispier.
But that is a small blimp in otherwise flawless experience. This is a hidden gem!
