Delicious family owned modern asian restaurant. Its hidden away but if you find it you are in for a treat. Value is amazing, service is fast and friendly and food is awesome.

This is one of my all time favourite restaurants in Melbourne. Began going here many years ago when it was a plain little chinese cafe, but with cheap and amazingly tasty food, always went for the stirfried tofu and vegies with oyster sauce. Went back recently to find it has had a significant upgrade and restoration in recent years. Was a bit worried the original feel of the place would be gone, well, fortunately, it still has a great feel, excellent value for money and my Tofu and vegies were just as delicious as ever. Also love the banana fritters here!

Kun Ming charges a little more than the average restaurant along Little Bourke, however this increase in cost results in good quality food in a good environment that doesn't have the same 'fire hazard' feel of some other local eateries.

I have been going to lunch at Kun Ming for the last couple of years, yes, they never change their lunch menu, but i never got tired of their quality food. it's an honest, reliable and reasonably price chinese restaurant and they do have a number of new items on the special every now and then. whenever i have guests from interstate or overseas, i'd take them there, coz i knew they won't disappoint me. they are fully licensed and BYO wine only. Staff are friendly and service was usually pleasant.

This is a middle class Chinese restaurant.
Reasons being:
1. the price is good, between $10 - 30 per dish
2. the food is great!
but sometimes you need to wait for awhile for orders.
it is good for working class professionals to enjoy the meals. it may be too expensive for a student to afford.
