One of my work friends has been raving about this place all year - she goes there regularly and always comes to work to fill us all in on what she has eaten. One by one everyone else at work has gone, on her recommendation, and come back equally delighted with the food provided. I am sad to say, even though I love mexican, that I was one of the very last to actually make it there. This past weekend however, I managed to get there with my partner and am really happy I finally made the effort.
The food is great, there are heaps and heaps of options and large servings, I couldn't finish my meal and for once my husband couldn't finish it either (he got through his but couldn't devour the rest of mine).
Generally good service, people happy to get you things if you ask and friendly and smiling staff.

What a great little place. We didn't have a booking, but noticed that it was not very busy so decided to pop in for a light meal. (Every other time we have gone past, it has been overflowing with customers lining up on the footpath. We took this as a sign that the food must be good).
The atmosphere was wonderful with nice music playing in the background. My kids loved sitting looking around at all the ethnic decorations in the cafe while we waited for our food.
We only ordered some vegetarian nachos as we only had a little time to spare. But this came to the table quickly and was delicious. We shared a few plates of the nachos and wished we had ordered a plate each!!
We will be back for a more substantial meal. We loved it!!!

Mexican Cafe and Bar in Bulimba. This is a different Mexican restaurant, has a wide variety of dishes. Good roving and good service, good for groups of people but best to make a booking as they are quite often full.

Approximate cost: $20

I have dined at La Quinta several times and have been very impressed each time. The meals taste great and the portion sizes are good. The decor is great. A great place to have a meal or even just to have a few drinks

La Quinta is a fabulous Mexican restaurant with great ambiance. The decor is traditional and simple. You can dine inside or out and all undercover. Great funky restaurant with the best Chimmichangas...they are to die for. And the Mexican Chilli Beer...great together. Service is excellent and always friendly. Check it out!

I am surprised by the positive reviews below as we have both dined and bought take away from this restaurant and found it to be quite disappointing. The beef burrito lacked flavour and the ingredients didn't seem that fresh.

I've been here for lunch several times now and the food is always fantastic. The serving sizes are quite large which I find is good value for money. I especially love the sangria here. Very delicious.

Approximate cost: $15

Well if you are looking for somewhere where it is lively (it is Busy Bulimba) then look no further BUT if you are looking for a decent feed try another Mexican restaurant. Small servings of not so very exciting food followed by shocking service left me feeling somewhat discontented. Yes they have Mexican beers but so do alot of other places and not as many on the menu as I was expecting. Don't bother making a booking, our table wasn't ready for over half an hour anyway.

Approximate cost: $20.00

This has to be the best Mexican restaurant in Brisbane! It is always packed with people and the reason is its great food and alcohol, as well as its fantastic atmosphere (on Oxford Street). I highly recommend the strawberry daquiris - they are delicious and come in very generous serves. Make a booking though or you will probably not get a seat!

Approximate cost: $12-28
