While on a visit to Adelaide we met up with some family members at this restaurant for dinner. They chose this restaurant as being their own favourite.
we were not disappointed!! absolutely beautiful authentic Italian cooking as one would hope from a restaurant who has been around for about 40 years if i recall correctly after being told by the friendly waitress.
we ordered veal parmiagiana, pizza, and pasta dishes amongst us and everyone absolutely loved their meals.
the waitress was very kind in offering my young child a free ice cream after dinner! it was a very lovely gesture for young kids to be welcomed to the restaurant.
there is an outdoor area which has heating which was perfect for a fresh winters Saturday evening.
definitely will be wanting to visit again this restaurant on our next holiday.

Great food, great service. Feels like a little Italy. A little on the pricey side but the overall taste and experience made it worth it.
Worked within a few metres of this restaurant, which was terrible for my waistline and purse. VERY expensive. Incredibly good! Authentic Italian food, nice ambience.
This really is a nice restaurant, wonderful atmosphere and very pleasant friendly staff. I will say our meals were good, but didn't meet our expectations. Their prices are quite high compared to others with my husbands steak being $43, I don't think we have ever paid that much. He said it was a tasty meal but not a $43 meal. My spaghetti marinara was ok, but also felt it was lacking. Our salad was bland, I believe they forgot the dressing, we asked and was told it had been dressed! I like more would have been better because we couldn't taste anything.
Overall, a disappointing expensive experience that will not be repeated.

Really nice food. Went here throuhg a recommendation from a friend. The man who took our orders was really friendly and had a good sense of humour. The food was to die for! I ordered grilled barramundi and it couldn't have been cooked more perfectly. Pricey but worth it. Definitely recommend and will be returning.
Approximate cost: $35
I went here with an old friend for our yearly catch up. The establishment was very clean and the staff were friendly and very attentive. I ordered the Gnocchi which was superb, whilst my friend had the cannelloni. The wine list was quite good and suited our taste and most bottles were similarly priced to other local establishments.
Overall we both enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. I would definitely consider eating here again at some stage in the future.
I really enjoy a good gnocchi, will be checking this place out. Thank you.
Had a work lunch here with approximately 40 people. The place catered great to our large group. The service here is some of the most professional I have ever experienced. The staff here a very friendly, well manner and great at their jobs. The food was also absolutely exquisite! Would definitely return.
Sensational service, food is very quick and tast, authentic italian restaurant at its finest, it's one of the hidden gems left in Adelaide. Whenever I think italian restaurants this one comes straight to mind.
Approximate cost: $25
It is recommened by my Italian friend. Nice place for family and friends to catch up and have a talk. I went there with my husband for our 4th anniversary. Staff were very nice and we had a lovely and romantic night there.

La Tratt can be a bit pricey but their steak is gorgeous and their pizzas are delicious and authentic. They have regular and gourmet pizzas; the gourmet section is an easy to navigate selection of toppings that make sense, none of this over-complicated, frustrating gourmet style that has developed recently. (I don't want goat's meat on a pizza, or mexican beans either, thank you very much!) And their regular pizzas are amazing. A little oily, in a good way and super fresh.
I would recommend La Trattoria for a date. The food is so easy to eat and the atmosphere is great, no-fuss, with good service.
It's also in a good location, close enough to Adelaide proper that you can go for a drink somewhere nice afterwards!
I often visit this place for the pizza's which seem to taste like the authentic Italian style of pizzas, simple, basic but yet yummy. Their resturant meals are very nice too but I prefer the pizzas.
I have heard about this restaurant for years but have never been there- this has reminded me why I must try it out- Thanks
I love this place, the food is amazing and quite romantic. Great dining experience here. The waiters remember your order and can describe the menu very well. Food is pricey but good quality. I recommend the basic spag bol ....it's amazing!
Approximate cost: $26
LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant. This restaurant has fantastic food and I would highly recommend the pasta dishes. The place is old and vintage and very Italino where even the waiters are quite elderly and do accept tips. Very authentic Italian restaurant and the experience from when we walked into the door, until I left was enjoyable. Reasonably priced and not a bad wait on food time.
Approximate cost: $28.00
They have great pizza too
A nice italian restaurant. We went recently for a cousin's 21st birthday meal with family on a Saturday night. The restaurant was booked out there wasn't a seat in the house and to be honest it was quite cramped with not much room to move your seat. That having been said the food was lovely and really tasty and we had a really nice night there i would definitely go again. The pricing was also reasonable.
Approximate cost: $20.00
The food here is delicious. The pasta dishes have some of the most interesting and delicious flavours. The service is usually great, however once I was disappointed by one of the waitresses however this should not put you off at all.
Definitely worth a try
Pizza and pasta is good as are many of the other dishes. I love that it's run by an Italian family which makes it feel very authentic. The service is great.
They're the home of the world's best pizza (this is actually an award they won, not a self proclamation) and they certainly live up to it. Using traditional Italian methods and fresh ingredients, it's definitely a place you want to try as a must do.
Approximate cost: $average
Agreed price is expensive but the pizza is pretty good, not the best in Adelaide but it is up there
The best italian restaurant in Adelaide. It has been there for over 30 years and still has the same family running it. You know what you are going to get every time. Authentic, high quality food with a truly Italian feel.
Great service. Lovely atmosphere with a real authentic feel and delicious food using fresh quality ingredients. Loved it. Will be going back for sure.
Approximate cost: $22.00
This is obviously an Italian restaurant not Indian.
although the place is quite expensive i would go there for the taste of the pizza.simply great!love their service too
fantastic food, friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere. recommend everyone visit here!! The food is to die for YUM!
I haven't found pizza anywhere better than La Tratt. Please do yourself a favour and try it out if you haven't before. Andy's Marinara is expensive, but worth it at least once. The also deliver free if you live nearby.
I love La Trat. I have been there on many occasions for both small and larger functions. They have the best pizzas in the world and the pastas are amazing as well. There is one waiter who is rude and creepy, but that's not enough to stop me from going back.
Approximate cost: $30
This is the best pizza I have ever had. Best thing is ... they deliver! I have also eaten in the restaurant and they have an extensive menu of Italian style dishes which are delicious.
We have been here a few times and it has got worse each time. The food was good still the last couple of times, however I was nearly reduced to tears on the last occassion by a very rude waiter. I then unfortunately left my bracelet behind and had to return the next day to pick it up and had to deal with them again. I won't be going back, which is a shame as it's a lovely restaurant with great food.
I have visited La Trattoria on quite a few occasions in the past and the meals have always been very nice, however, I am not sure if something has changed recently, but the last couple of times I had a meal I have been very disappointed. On my last visit with some friends, the pizza was OK, but defiantly not wow, the pasta sauce (Spinach Gnocchi with Sundried Tomato & Marscapone Cheese $24) didn't taste fresh and it reminded me of the cheaper not so nice cream sauces that Primo make. I had the Risotto Al Porcini ($22) and it was dry and it the rice didn't resemble Arborio rice at all.
Approximate cost: $22-26+
the prizes are very reasonable. the people who serve you are lovely and have ample personality. the food is delicious. definitely recommend. very well located for many people working in town and they allow you to pre-order for work lunches etc
