Great Restaurant!.. The food is excellent quality. They cater exceptionally well for gluten free people. I know when I go there I will feel like a normal member of society and not a gluten free despo who only deserves "shut up" food!. Almost everything can be made gluten free and a good selection of gluten free deserts. People are lovely !

The food here was really nice. I came here with in a group of 6 and we were all really happy with our meals. I had a crumbed lamb rack and vanilla creme brûlée which were both to die for.
However the service left a little to be desired. Both the waitress staff spent a lot of time talking to people who were obviously their friends, which is fine but we couldn't flag them down because they didn't look up to see how everyone else was doing. Also one of them seemed to be really confused when reading the specials as if she couldn't pronounce the names of dishes.
The great food however made up for all of this. I would go again for the food but hopefully they train their staff more
I'm sorry your experience was not up to your expectations. I know Maria and some of her team. I've found them to be personable and attentive. Barrister Bob The Builder makes a great cup of coffee. Maria herself has an infectious laugh and is happy to chat to her patrons. Perhaps she did spend a little longer with some patrons (as you mentioned).
I have only been there for coffee and a takeaway. I found the spaghetti marinara to die for.
Most restaurants are not open mondays - it's the industry wide standard because they work long hours for 6 days of the week. Whilst I too sometimes find it annoying that (good) restaurants are not open Mondays, it's something that I have to suck it up and live with it :-)
Please give Maria and her team another chance. I'm sure you'll find it pleasurable. If not chat with Maria directly and give her your honest feedback. That's the only way businesses can improve, and most want to know how they are doing.
This cafe is good but not great. The service could be improved upon because the waiting staff are not so polite. Also other areas that i did not like was that it is not open Monday's and that the food sometimes came out over salted.
Despite this it is a nice place.
I had lunch with 6 other girlfriends today to celebrate a birthday. We had garlic bread, 3 different types of pasta, rack of lamb, Pollo Zucca,Vitello Della Casa,Choc Lava Pudding with coffee/tea served with a birthday cake that I brought which was plated up beautifully with cream & ice-cream after it was brought out with sparkles. Food was lovely, service was friendly & good. Very impressed.

Good service. The waitstaff were quick to take our orders and respond to drink orders etc. The food came out within the expected time-frame however it was not too busy when we went.

Really friendly team, Great Service. Nice variety on the menu. For a local restaurant this is nice and they can cater for functions which is great. A bit of Trivia - Domenic has appeared on TV shows ‘Getaway' and ‘My Restaurant Rules' so you know you are going to get great food!
