This has a great range of organic items, and a natupath section at the back along with all the groceries, and a deli. Like a small supermarket for organic items.

Approximate cost: $varies

It started off a fabulous concept to have a all in one organic supermarket but alas since opening a few years ago I believe that the value and service has dropped. While the staff are pleasant, the prices are inflated (they are much more than the same organic lines that you can purchase in other supermarkets or smaller type retailers). Also they keep changing their lines so you get use to one product and then it suddenly disappears. When I rated the "service" 3 stars it was not directed toward the actual staff but more towards the general service supplied by Macro and it's culture towards customers. I still regularly shop their due to convenience but would prefer to go elsewhere if their were options closer by (thankfully this site has already provided some). You still can't beat the smaller business where the owners are often passionate about organics and ready to be of assistance for their customers. Prices are usually better there as well. :-)

A good place to get hard-to-find organic foods, but very prices for many items, even mainstream ones. The cafe has some excellent cakes and caters for a wide range of food allergies and requirements.

Macro is a chain of organic supermarkets. A one stop shop for all of your organic and health needs. They sell some items in bulk, they identify whether items are organic, biodynamic or conventional. They have a dispensary so you can see a naturopath or homeopath for advice. The prices are high, but then that's organics for you. The service is friendly and helpful.
Overdue update:
Macro sold out to Woolies. Very sad. It took a number of years for Woolies to take on the Macro brand, which they now have, but it's not the same.
