I was given Simon's details by a different company I called from Womo (Efficient Air, Monbulk). Our ducted heating had started making an odd noise on the coldest night of the year. Simon booked me in for his first available appointment, and advised me that I was still able to use the heating in the meantime. He called the night before the booking to confirm a time, and called again when he was on the way so we didn't waste all day sitting around waiting. He efficiently serviced our Pyrox heater, fixed the annoying noise, checked all the ducts and filters and was able to advise on and fit a new modern thermostat at our request too.
Simon was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. There was a set fee for the callout and service ($180), the only extra charges were for the parts ($200 for the thermostat).

Approximate cost: $180

I had a problem with my ducted heating and called Jason to find out whether he was able to have a look. He called me back straight away to explain that he mostly installs heating equipment rather than servicing it, but he gave me a recommendation for a local company (Simkat Gas Service) who were able to help. Jason also gave me information about costs of new systems in the event that mine couldn't be repaired. I appreciate that he took the time to call back and gave me a reliable referral.

(I had to give ratings for quality and value - I'm not able to assess these directly).

This review is for Kmart Tyre And Auto, Mount Waverley VIC

While out and about this morning we suddenly noticed an odd noise from one of the car's tyres. When we checked it out we found a large screw had lodged in the tyre. We wanted to get it sorted out quickly before it caused any damage and while driving towards our intended destination spotted Kmart Tyre and Auto Services. We had to loop around (you can only enter from Stevensons Rd southbound) but pulled in at 11:45. Craig, the store manager, was working by himself, and obviously busy as he tried to finish up before closing at 12pm, but he immediately squeezed us in, and in less than 15 mins we were driving away on a fully repaired and balanced tyre!

Excellent service!

Approximate cost: $32 for tyre repair and balancing

A friend was visiting from Japan and wanted to do karaoke so we decided to try Shine. The service was excellent and we felt very welcome.
Unfortunately the karaoke set-up wasn't ideal - the music was very loud, even on the quietest setting, but the microphones were really quiet so we couldn't hear ourselves sing (for some people I guess this could be advantageous!). There were thin curtains across the windows so people looked in whenever they walked past, and the air con was on very high even though it was winter!
It would probably be a fun place to go for a karaoke party, but isn't ideal if you're serious about your singing...

Approximate cost: $30 per hour

Always worth a visit if you're in the area! There are many different chocolates to choose from - some are always available and others change depending on season or creativity in the kitchen! There are vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free options, and the staff are knowledgeable about their products because they make them all on site. It's worth going at 11am or 2pm for the short demo of how they make the chocs too!

We head to this cafe every time we're in Daylesford (which is fairly often!). I'm a big fan of the vegan sushi, but there are plenty of other choices including pies, burgers and soup to choose from. There are always some vegan options among the cakes in the case (I highly recommend the cherry danish!), and the sourdough breads are also worth sampling too. It can sometimes take a little while to get the food, but it's worth the wait!

Popped in for lunch. It was very busy, but the staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxing.
There was a nice array of veggie and vegan food to choose from - I highly recommend the lentil shepherds pie! Plenty of cakes and biscuits too. The only downside was that there weren't enough tables for everyone, though the staff organised for us to share. We'll definitely be back.

This review is for Smart Car Auto Tech, Hallam VIC

I sent an email requesting info about getting my Smart Car serviced, having found out about this business online. I got a prompt, polite reply with details of appointments available. When another spot opened up sooner David emailed to let me know and squeezed me in at the new time - on a Saturday!

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome, and it was obvious that mechanic David is passionate about Smart cars! Rather than the hard sell, he asked for our experiences with the car and other repairers, before sharing his own experiences and history with us. We couldn't have been happier leaving our car in his capable hands. He gave us a time when the car would be ready, and we got a call just before that time to confirm that it was done. He explained all the service in terms even I could understand (my knowledge of cars extends to colours and number of wheels!) as well as showing us the parts that had been replaced.

David is very friendly, helpful, honest and genuine - and clearly cares about his customers and the cars in his care. Definitely highly recommended!

Our water heater broke late on a winter Sunday evening. After looking through Womo for some suggestions we gave David a call early on Monday. He got back to us very quickly, was able to provide advice on our options, and even juggled a few other jobs to ensure we got hot water back the same day. Friendly, helpful and professional. We would definitely use him again.

My favourite of the Lord of the Fries restaurants (I've also visited Elizabeth St, Flinders St and Chadstone). The staff here are friendly, always on the ball, often remember my order without me having to ask, and are happy to advise on different options. Food comes quickly and tastes great.
