Tasty, authentic japanese tapas. Huge selection of dishes and interesting drinks, esoecially sake. Fun and efficient ipad ordering system and super friendly staff.

The only thing disappointing about Maedaya is how infrequently I can get there. The food is amazing, the sake excellent, the atmosphere perfect. You would think ordering from an ipad would be impersonal but here it just works and keeps the little plates coming at a good pace.

Maedaya is our go to family restaurant. Staff are always friendly, food is delicious and always delivered extremely quickly. The kids love the kids plate which is the best value kids meal around.

I think there were some hits & misses to what I ordered I did'nt really enjoy the sashimi the quality wasn't there. The fried items i ordered the crab croquettes were really yummy,the tsukune was very tasty & some of the other grilled meats on skewers are worth ordering. The cocktails were enjoyable but i would probably skip the dessert.
Overall I enjoyed most of the food & drinks here & would come again & recommend it to people.

This place is Fantastic - they served delicious food (i Had the scallops) with reasonable price! I recommended this place to my friends and others... Its a great place to hang out and have a couple of drinks too .. their service was efficient too

Fabulous restaurant. Great quality of food and prices are reasonable for the area. I've only ever sat downstairs, so maybe that's a good thing judging by the other feedback. Loved the Firebird cocktail as well!! My advice: get the full experience on a not so busy night during the week, will be much more enjoyable that way.

Very impressed. Friendly accommodating staff, excellent food - really fresh and beautifully served, and overall, really good vibe. A bit squashy when we were sitting at the bar.

I was looking forward to dinner at Maedaya on a friday night. We had a booking for the downstairs section, however on arrival we were told that we would have to sit upstairs as there was no room downstairs. The upstairs section has a different menu to the downstairs section, and you actually have to cook your own food.

There were many, many problems that night:
Firstly, we had trouble getting the attention of a waiter to take our order. I understand that it was busy, but they need more staff. We were waiting for at least half an hour for someone to take our order.

We ordered a platter of assorted meat, which took approximately half an hour to take out, even though it had evidently been prepared long before it was given to us.

Then, it was another ten minutes before they bothered bringing us a charcoal grill so we could actually cook the food. We were absolutely starving by this point.

Finally, the ventilation is absolutely horrendous. I get that there's going to be smoke from a charcoal grill, but there was no ventilation whatsoever in the room so I was coughing all the time from the smoke, and left the restaurant reeking of it.

i went there with 3 friends, all of us were fully satisfied with both their service and their foods. prices are reasonable, a lot of drinks options, they even have the professional in field if u want to have any suggestions about sake. The waitresses have good customer service, make sure you book in advance if you are going for dinner :)
