The only thing disappointing about Maedaya is how infrequently I can get there. The food is amazing, the sake excellent, the atmosphere perfect. You would think ordering from an ipad would be impersonal but here it just works and keeps the little plates coming at a good pace.

Avoid the chain stores you can get really good tea online. These guys have a really good range available and delivery is always pretty quick. The usual suspects are all there (English Breakfast, Peppermint, etc) and they're all good but it's the other teas that really shine here, try the Blue Velvet and the Aniseed they are totally worth it.
Approximate cost: $50
This cafe is pretty new and we've already been a few times. The service is very friendly, the food is good and doesn't take to long to arrive. Prices are a little high but not too bad.
A word of warning though the pancakes are epic so only order if you are really hungry (although they are worth it)
Approximate cost: $45
This is my regular after-work drinks haunt; friendly staff, good prices, fun atmosphere.
The launch time deal (burger and a drink) for $15 is really good although the place has become a lot more popular in the last year so you will need a booking if you expect to get a seat at lunch on a Friday
Approximate cost: $20
This restaurant is more expensive than most Thai places but it's well worth the extra $'s and deserves its rating as the the most popular in the area but you will need to have a booking most nights.
Everything I've had here is exceptional especially the vegetable green curry and the pla choo chee
Approximate cost: $60
We love this little place, the food is always very good (try the Choo Chee Pla it's my absolute favourite) and really good value. It's such a shame they aren't more popular but the location seems to put a lot of people off - don't let it, give this place a try it's worth it
