What a lovely place to visit. You can sample many of Maggie Beer's creations, watch a cooking demonstration, walk on the farm, see the pheasants or have a meal on the deck and watch the turtles. It was rather busy on the weekend and the staff were very professional. We all had a nice time, including the children.

a nice place to visit when going to barossa valley. the environment is so nice with lovely food. Its a good place to have lunch while visiting there. We ordered the pate afternoon picnic set and it was so rich in flavour and it is so appeasing. furthermore, they have wine tasting and other local produce also. I really love their jams.

A really lovely setting a great place to visit if your in the area or doing a wine tour they have lots of food samples on offer and also do wine tasting. They have a lovely little cafe there that sells lunch and coffees. You can buy a lot of beautiful things there like maggies cookbooks, aprons, sauces and her famous peasant pate. The cafe over looks the lake and you can also see where Maggie films her cooking show.
Fantastic place and very friendly staff.

WOW! What an experience you can have just shopping for condiments. We have visited this place on several occasions and always buy up big to last us until the next visit. Even the children like coming here to shop and they hate any form of shopping not involving toys. The grounds are beautiful and the products are of good quality. If it is just my husband and I we take the time to sit in and have something to nibble on, but it is just as delicious using the goodies in our own kitchen. Be sure to stop in and have a look if you are passing through the area, you will not be disappointed.

Approximate cost: $20

This farm shop has much to recommend it. We arrived just as the cooking demostration was commencing. It was very interesting in giving information on using verjuice which is the juice from unripened grapes.

There is an eating area with a different menu from other places. Free tasting of chutneys and sauces available with no pressure to purchase.

The Pheasant Farm is in a delightful location with a deck overlooking country side. I bought some of the chutney which we are enjoying with our picnic lunches.

We spent a pleasant afternoon on the deck overlooking the lake with ducks, sipping a glass of red and sharing a platter of dips including caramelised onions and bread. The dips were very tasty and the 1 platter was enough for 2 people. The cutlery is light timber. The shop has a vast amount of goodies, including foods, alcohol, non alcohol and gift items. There are samples of the dips to try and also a tasting of the drinks that are available.

What a lovely friendly welcoming place. You are encouraged to sample the free tasting throughout the shop, and there are lots of them. The prices are very reasonable. Quince paste and chilli ginger sauce are amazing. Lots of places overlooking the picturesque dame to take in a mouthwatering snack and just relax. Does not open until 10.30am but if you are a little early lots of places to walk around.

This place is great. A farmdoor shop that you can purchase products in or order a picnic basket. We did the latter and ate it next to the pond, watching turtles duck under the water. Lovely!

A really great experience, to visit Maggie's Farm Shop. So many nice things to try, and the icecream (burnt fig), YUM!!!
A nice, modern store, with seating inside and out, overlooking the lake and birdlife. It can get a bit crowded and hard to move around in peak holiday times, but then its nice to go for a walk around the gardens and lake-edge until the crowd clears.

I probably only visit here twice a year as I buy so much each time that I need to save up in between visits. It's hard not to love Maggie so it's also hard not to love her farm shop. Just about everything is available for a tasting and there's a lovely area to sit and enjoy a platter or two with local wines. Just love this place ... and Maggie of course.
