I rang North Melbourne Shoe Repairs, on the recommendation of a retailer, for an idea of the cost & practicality of resoling a favourite pair of Ecco shoes. The soles were badly damaged, but after a brief discussion with Lee, I posted the shoes. Two days later, Lee rang to say they couldn't guarantee a job like new, but they believed it was worth a try. They were too modest!! A few days later, the shoes were posted back to me with a full "rug sole". They are as good as new, and for a fraction of the cost of a new pair.

Seriously, if you want a down-to-earth bunch to repairers for either shoes, handbags, cutting keys or whatever, drop into these guys. They have an incredible setup and the service you get is invaluable. They restored a well-worn pair of dress shoes to new and well .. for a quarter of the price it would cost to buy a new pair equal to the quality they produced. The best thing was that it was within a very reasonable time frame!!

These guys are fantastic. I needed to replace the elastic sides of a pair of slip-on leather Ecco shoes. I tried a number of well-regarded shoe repairers around Melbourne - none could do it. I bought myself a very expensive pair of climbing boots 6 years ago. 5 months ago the sole tore a bit and brought them here, they did an excellent job and now I can still use my favorite boots.

I have recently had two pairs of shoes resoled. A pair of Timberland walking shoes that I had trouble finding someone willing to do the job properly and a pair of leather soled oxfords. Both pairs have come back looking like brand new. Highly recommend the North Melbourne guys for the quality of their work.

I needed repair to bespoke made motorcycle boots when the original maker has retired. Leather at gear shift worn through. NMSR filled and covered with a protective layer and restored the boot to as new. Looks like it was made that way. Very happy with the service and work.
