Well you can tell a good café, by where the locals go. So that's what we did. Busy, busy, busy. Hard to find a table to sit at. So we waited a few minutes. (their take away business is pumping too. ) Calling the majority of patrons by name, but were still very friendly to us. Go for the muffins (esp berry /choc). Can't comment on the coffee, but hot choc was good. Has a lot of trinkets on ceiling to keep kids occupied while you enjoy your cuppa. The tables & chairs are eclectic & funky.
Otherwise known simply as the Produce Store, this cafe/produce store has fantastic atmosphere and even better food. It's expensive but the portion sizes are massive - my 12 year old sons couldn't finish their baguettes, which shocked us to be honest as they eat like horses! In that respect the Produce Store offers excellent value.
The produce on offer around the walls is varied and yummy. This is definitely the place to go for lunch in Mansfield. Just make sure you've budgeted for it!
We bought a few regional products from the store...the kumara tomatoes from there were absolutely delicious and at a very good price. Also, they make beautiful coffee and have a selection of delicious home made food...i look forward to visit it again when we will be in the area
Good review. I enjoyed reading about your experience.
We had coffee here - they do good coffee. It was a store full of locals and everyone seemed to know everyone. The staff were really friendly and the shop was full of local produce - wine, cheese, jams and more to purchase and take home.
will keep my eyes open for this, as we are going near there soon.
a rustic dinning experience. they have a beautiful selection of home made foods. i love their tandori chicken salad. great value and nice place to catch up with friends for lunch.
