I went to Masuya with my colleagues for lunch. A very busy place during lunchtime peak hour, and we have made a booking 2 days in advance. Very professional and friendly staff with their name placed on our table, so we know who exactly was serving us and who was responsible for our table. We ordered set lunch boxes (bentos) from the lunch menu which costs around $25-30 depending which set you ordered. I had the sashimi set with wagyu beef, salad and udon. Everything was really fresh and delicious. My colleague doesn't eat raw food (sashimi) so we made a special request to swap the sashimi with extra tempura, and the staff happily does so. The bento size is quite huge, and we were all very full afterwards. It costs like $2-2.20 per person for green tea which I think is abit steep. I love this place and we will be back.

My first thoughts were it's located at a creepy place on a Saturday night on a quiet street in the Sydney CBD. It didn't helped that I had to go downstairs. But once inside, it was beautiful and it was a great setting for a romantic dinner. The food was good, not the best. The price is worth it for the decor and the service.

The staff are ultra-polite. The food is always prepared wonderfully and very fresh too. The wait-staff always take your orders promptly, and the food usually comes out quickly, but sometimes you might get some of your food served quickly, and you're left waiting for the rest for quite a while. However, I remain a regular of this place. It comes down to the food being excellent and the staff being pleasant.

Not the friendliest for service but polite and efficient. The bill can add very quickly if you start ordering sashimi. Not one of the most affordable but serves good food.
