Visited this Information Centre to gather information to display at my sailing club which is holding a National Sailing Titles event over Christmas New Year period. Great range of brochures and flyers for the local wineries and some further afield available.
The centre has great displays of produce from the area, a cafe and a tasting area. Seating inside and out for the cafe too. One of the best info centre I have seen recently.

Decided to take our visitng family here, to do some wine tasting and for them to pick up some maps and more information. We all decided to try some wine, well, that didn't happen. The woman was tooo busy cleaning her glasses and didn't offer us any tastings. We then all had a look in the gallery and then returned, thinking she would have finished cleaning her glasses. Well, no, this continued on, she looked up at us and ignored us. Very disappointing.

It was raining when we visited this information centre and we were more than happy to browse the extensive area showcasing both the local and the wider areas of South Australia. Interesting aboriginal art available for sale and we purchased a small bottle holder as a gift for family. Art gallery to view and wine available for purchase. Intrigued by the squid ink shiraz which was on show. Will have to have a taste. If you are not familiar with the region, it is a must before planning your touring. Staffed by volunteers who are friendly and happy to help

This is the start of any good winery expedition in the McLaren Vale region. The cellar door here is subject to change and will host a different provider every now and then. They have a cafe here too if you're interested in starting with a coffee... something to keep you awake after all the drinks you're going to have throughout the day!
The cellar door we found that day had a decent white which was only $10 a bottle. But the guy was nice and gave us half a dozen for $50.

Approximate cost: $avg
