Would never recommend - needed the window replaced for the dog door. They brought the wrong dog door size so said he would pop back just after dinner - arrived at 9:30pm. The door would not shut properly and the security door would not lock. Ensuring me he would return tomorrow to fix it they did not return for a week - after phone calls and having to get someone out to fix my doors in the meantime so i could securely lock my house. Someone then came out to 'check it over' and had the nerve to hand me his business card. Melbourne Pet Doors were apologetic and explained (blamed) that they had to sub-contact the work out - not acceptable and responsibility still falls back on them. Out of pocket to get my door fixed and they would not provide a deduction of cost to cover this.

Hi Michelle, I have left you a message to give me a call to resolve this for you. I have reviewed my notes for your job. Your job was done 1.12.21 and we were unaware that there were issues until you called us on 6.12.21. We then followed up your installer to return urgently to rectify the problem. On 8.12.21 the installer advised me that the work had been rectified. I then spoke to you on 15.12.21 as a follow up to make sure that you were satisfied with the repairs. You informed me that the installer did return, however you had had your father fix the door prior to the installer returning, and that it was working fine. You did not mention any type of deduction and you did not say that you were out of pocket to have the door fixed, as you father had done the repair. Had we discussed this, I would have been more than happy to provide you with a discount for the inconvenience. We accept full responsibility for the job and I was explaining to you that as it was a sub-contractor I was not aware of an issue, so I was not blaming, merely explaining. We have been sending you monthly reminders for your outstanding invoice since December, and at no time did you call us upon receiving your reminders asking for a deduction. We are more than happy to discuss issues with our customers to come to a friendly resolution, however if we dont know that you are unhappy, we are unable to rectify the situation. Please feel free to return my call and we'll have a chat. Happy customers are our number one priority. Sincerely, Robyn. Office Manager

Not long after I sent an enquiry, I received a phone call from Melbourne Pet Doors. It was explained to me very clearly the procedure and what to expect. I have laminated glass, and was told that the glass may crack during installation.
A tradesman came about 10 minutes early. I showed him the door where I wanted the installation, and he went straight to work.
The result: The pet door looks terrific and I couldn't be happier. Best of all: no cracks! Also, very reasonably priced.

I have used this business on more than 1 occasion at 2 different properties. Robyn is extremely helpful, well organised and took care of a reinstatement as well as an installation job, with no fuss. Dan is great and efficient, pleasant and very reliable. Thank you to both for making the job of putting in and removing a doggy door between 2 properties during a hectic move, such a stress free process. Thanks!

We had a doggy door installed in an existing window. The window pane had to be replaced with a tougheneed glass, as we were informed.

Installation of the window was terrible. They split the wood on one side of the window.
The new pane was offset to where the old one had been, the sealant was messy and ugly.
They just cut a hole in the window without asking me where and how high I would have liked the hole.
Then I had to dispose of their rubbish in our bin.

This work was conducted by a very young person while the boss stood out the front on the phone most of the time. The young man was very friendly.

Approximate cost: $380
