Always such a busy place! The staff are friendly and the food is good but sometimes a bit too out there or trying to be too hip! I find it pretty expensive for the amount of food you get.

pretty pricey brunch place but worth it if you like nice brunches - quite busy so prepare to wait for a bit

my meal had bacon and avo which were quite nice, bacon wasn't too salty and avo serving was generous

A good cafe. Interesting brunch options that are definitely almost in the same league as cafes in trendy brunch sections of melbourne. Perhaps not as groundbreaking, but still good. The only issue is that MG really takes advantage of the fact that their is little competition in the area, and so prices are $$ despite the food not being quite on par with superior cafes in melbourne and the dining atmosphere/service is somewhat lacking.

I have come here on a weekend and had to leave, it was so busy. this time we came midweek for lunch. We still had to wait but it was only about 5 minutes. They coffee was wonderful. I had the quinoa and wild rice salad which was to die for. The seeds and nuts through it made every mouthful a delight. I will definitely have it again. My friend had the duck baguette which is now her favourite. The fresh orange juice was also great. It's not a cheap place. Be prepared to pay at the higher end of cafe prices, but the food is really worth it.

FABULOUS coffee, and their Chai Lattes are amazing. The staff are always a pleasure to be around, very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the shop is on the smaller size, would be great if they had a bit more space as waiting around for a table can be frustrating.
Wont bother coming on weekends for breakfast as much as I want to, whenever we drive past the are always loads of people waiting around for a table.
It would be great to see a few more generic items on the menu, even some sandwiches/gourmet pies/Burger - Love the coffee but rarely eat there as to be honest not really feeling their menu.

Every meal here is a meal worth its price. However, I have found the staff to be slightly unwelcoming and there never seems to be enough people to go around. Despite this, they do amazing eggs, coffee and particularly chia (which is hand made on site!). So, if you're happy to pay a little bit extra then Merchants Guild is always a great option.

Great Chai Lattes. Always ridiculously busy on the weekends which is a pain having to stand in line to get in but worth the wait once you do. Food menu could be a expanded apon a bit. Once you go there a few times it gets a bit boring only having a handful of the same things to order every time. I would recommend they update it or have more specials available each day.

Love coming back here whether its for a quick (and well made) coffee or a big breakfast after a night out. Particularly good are the vegetarian options - my personal favourite is the seeded bagel with feta, rocket and chilli jam - and they also have a nice selection of fresh vegie and fruit juices. Big groups be wary of the wait for a table, particularly on weekends (its generally not longer than 20-30 mins).

I came here for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday morning.
I was surprised when I got there, that I would have to wait in order to get a table for 2. But I must say, the wait was completely worth it!
There were quite a few other people waiting as well, but quickly they were able to seat people as soon as a table was free. (I only waited about 10-15 minutes).
Their menu has a lot of interesting and different options, and even a hollandaise sauce that changes daily!
It is a cafe with a difference, it is a combination of trendy/unusual/interesting.
The waiters were all fantastic, with a great sense of humour and always making sure we had everything we needed.
I would recommend the Short Cut Bacon - It was a delicious breakfast of bacon, avocado/corn smash, a delicious pesto and poached eggs.
It has been great to see a new and interesting cafe with a difference (and of course great service!) open up in Bentleigh.
Highly recommend.

The food is delicious and obviously made by passionate chefs, they brew their own chai which is a nice touch. Food times a bit slow but worth the wait. Overall staff great except the owner who is quite rude and told us (not asked) to move to stools so a group of 3 could have our table, and then wanted to move us again. The way he treats his customers and staff is appalling and a real shame for such a good place to eat.
