In the past I have been very impressed with Mero Mero. I have found to be their food incredibly tasty and of a good quality. However a few days ago I ordered a sandwich through HowAboutEat for my lunch and found a large piece of red elastic in it. Obviously I was not impressed about this and it made me incredibly concerned about the state of cleanliness in their food preparation areas. I have tried numerous times to contact Mero Mero about this but have heard nothing. I'm incredibly disappointed about this and will no longer be eating at this restaurant.

Mero Mero is one of the best places to get a salad in the Sydney CBD. I love it that you can get hot meats in your salad. The ingredients they use are always fresh. They make great sandwiches and a good bacon and egg roll at breakfast time.

The staff at Mero Mero always go out of their way to help you and make you feel welcome. I always get a coffee from here which is always delicious.

may just be the best hot chocolate i've had in a long long time! great service but i do have to admit it was quite pricey! 3.50 for a small teeny tiny cup of hot chocolate was ridiculous but man it was so so good!

Agreed with the first reviewer. Ingredients all on display looked extremely fresh. Gourmet cafe quality but then with a gourmet price tag... I go there when I want a gourmet salad takeaway. The quality could sometimes be a hit or miss as some ingredients aren't always so fresh. One tip is to have a quick look at the ingredient display first before choosing your ingredients! Go try their spicy chicken in your salad... so deliciously addictive! Their 12 hour lamb (meat supposedly cooked for 12 hours) is their sell out but I find it a bit oily and salty.
Service is really friendly (cashier) but the salad lady can be a bit tight with the amount of portion she gives you.

Approximate cost: $12

Ingredients all on display looked extremely fresh, so fresh that another customer and I ended up chatting and commenting about this while waiting for our orders. I ordered vegetarian sandwich. I liked that sourdough bread was available. Coffee was also scrumptious. This is gourmet cafe quality, fantastic for a takeaway food court.

Approximate cost: $10
