I got the best haircut I've ever had, here a few years ago. I stopped going because the girl who cut my hair, went O/S. She was seriously talented. Also got many many excellent colour jobs here too. If you are prepared to leave it in their hands and not scared to go a bit off centre, they really love that, and you'll walk out feeling rad!
But frankly, in the end after 2 years of love, I could not justify the expense any longer. It has only crept up too, my last cut there (with a senior stylist) was a staggering $90. Too much for me these days. Having said all this, I would still reccomend Mieka if you want a spectacular haircut and a completely different look. they are very good at what they do. They can give you the bones of an excellent haircut and if you cant afford to keep going there, at least you can get someone else (cheaper) to maintain it. And if you have the cash to splash, well lucky you! just keep going there, cos they are ACE!

Approximate cost: $200(cut and colour)

I just moved down from New Zealand and was finding it very difficult to find a new hairdresser who could understand and work with me towards what i desired. That was until i came across Mieka Hairdressing! From the phone call to enquire of their services to me walking out with my new amazing look they were always proffessional and patient towards an annoying middle aged woman who wanted to look and feel younger. ha ha. I got a half head of foils and a haircut with a master stylist and colourist, i must admit when they gave me the initial quote i was a bit nervous, but soon realised its definitely value for money. Their service i believe is unbeatable.
I would highly recomend.

Approximate cost: $240.00

Went here for 4 years and have had some great cuts and colour, but my last cut was fairly ordinary (pretty much just a trim, following the line of my last cut!).

Good colourists, but I have never walked out paying less than $250 for cut, foils and blow dry and have paid in excess of $300 (and that's with a student discount of 20% on cuts and 15% on colour). I have curly hair, but this is still a bit excessive!

Overall I do think it's a good salon, but is not up to scratch with the standards that made me fall in love with the place a few years ago and unfortunately I won't be back due to fact that they wouldn't see me on my b'day because I was 15-20minutes late!! I'm not someone who normally runs late, but I'd expect a bit of leeway/understanding considering the 4years loyal clientele, the extra business I have got them through recommendations and the thousands of $$ I've spent, all I got was rudeness!

Approximate cost: $85 +++ for cut; $120++ foils

Quite expensive but well worth it if you want a really great cut. The cuts grow out well too, so you look good for longer. They're really good with giving you a cut that will suit you. Lots of awards for the great job they do. Very friendly and professional staff. Will trim fringes for free between cuts!

Approximate cost: $85.00 cut
