Probably the most authentic Japanese food in the eastern suburbs. Great customer service! Price is bit high but again the experience is worth it.

Approximate cost: $20

So lucky to have a local like Miku. The place is small without being cramped, good value without being cheap, relaxed without being too casual, and the food good without being extravagant. Sounds almost too good to be true right?
But in this case it is true. And that is probably why they have survived in the same location for so long. Doncaster east is not exactly a great harbour of places to dine. So gems like Miku get noticed. I am always impressed by their sashimi and nigiri items which are firm and gleamng with freshness. Other items such as the Hapuka shio (whole butterflied hapuka) and hotpots are just as delicious and fresh too.
Did I also mention that they manage to smile too?

Today was my first time here.
I ordered rice burger platter.Everything included in the platter tasted amazing. And you get some options for your rice burger and your main side dish, which is good.
The platter costed me a little less than fifteen dollars.
It's not incredibly cheap, but that's how much you're expected to pay at a standard Japanese restaurant.
I will be back here with my family some time soon.

A tiny, warm and cozy little Japanese restaurant that not only delivers authentic Japanese cuisines but the foods are served and cooked with passion.

Their sashimi are fresh and their bentos as well as dons are to die for.

This place might be a new kid on the block but it has established quite a reputation as well as clientele of its own. A definite must try if one is around this area.

This Japanese place is a relatively newcomer to Doncaster East and has quickly become very popular. It is owned and run by real Japanese and they use very good quality and fresh ingredients. I had the fresh fish and chirashi lunch deal which includes appetizer, salad, chirashu (very tasty steamed egg), seasoned rice and all sorts of sashimi. The sashimi is very generous in serving. This is one of the more expensive dishes on their lunch menu at $20.80. Their cheaper options include rice with miso soup dishese starting at $10.80, bento boxes starting at $14.80, various udon noodles at around $12.80. Individual sushi rolls for takeaway are $2.80 each. Sake prices start at $4.20 for 60ml on rocks, the plum wine at $7.00 was very nice. I highly recommend this place. One of the better Japanese joints around town.
