Mink has been an amazing choice for haircuts ever since I walked in a year ago. Making an appointment is very easy, and Mink are very happy to make arrangements around a time that suits you best. The staff are very friendly and professional, offering not only a great haircut, but also any advice on haircare. They always seem to do exactly what I was looking for, which will keep me coming back again and again. Mink also offers beauty services as well, which I am very happy to suggest to any of my friends.

had my eyebrows waxed here once, staff were quite chatty which was great (i always found waxing appointments awkward when it's too silent)

the place was quite quaint, had my eyebrows done upstairs (didn't even know they had an upstairs - it seemed like mink used to be a house which i found quite cool and adorable) also convenient location close to the tram stop and 7 eleven in case i got the munchies lol

I had been lax and it was about a year since my last haircut so I really needed to get something done. I'm new to Melbourne and didn't have a clue about the first place to try regarding a good haircut. Encouraged by the reviews on this website and the place being close to where I work I made an appointment at Mink. They managed to fit me in the next day which was great - and their opening hours meant I could make my visit after work. The chocolate biscuit with my drink was also a nice touch. I had a rough idea what I wanted done but was open to suggestions from the girl who was cutting my hair, Luisa. Basing her opinion on what I wanted she suggested what she would do with it, which I was happy with. When I came out of the salon, I was really happy with what she had done (which I don't often do), keeping the length but giving it a bit of style. Watching her blow-dry it I even got some tips on how to wear it a bit differently from usual. The price was a bit more than I had expected, but she had put a treatment on the ends which I'm sure increased the price a little. I was disappointed that they didn't have a price list I could take home with me for future options (also for the beauty stuff), but was told they could give me a rough quote over the phone.

the waxing here is the best i have ever been to. if i didn't move so far away i would travel back for their service. they are friendly, and preofessional. highly recommended

Mink is really a great salon - the service is great. The hairdressers are very attentive to your needs and they make suggestion when what you're requesting is not suitable for your hair type and face. I've been going there for 5 years now. I stopped for a while and tried other hairdressers but I decided to go to Mink.
