I went there for dinner and Karaoke with friends, the food was really nice, I like the "stone grill beef steak", very yummy! My friend ordered chicken teriyaki, not as good as the beef! We enjoy the dinner there. However, in terms of the song selection if you are look for the Chinese songs, they did not updated there system, so the choice is very limited! If you look for food, go there, if you want to sing Chinese songs, go somewhere else.

I love this place. Nice ambience (little enclosed alcoves for dining area, clean and modern), and it's one of only two places I know in Sydney that use the Joysound system, so if you're into singing Japanese songs, you can look up the numbers of songs to order beforehand on the Joysound website (http://joysound.com/ex/index.htm). If you don't know Japanese, though, you might have a little trouble using their Joysound system. I'm not sure if there're rooms using other systems cos I always ask for it.. ^^"

I usually do the lunch special when I go -- 11.30-5.30pm, spend $20 minimum on food/bev and get two hours' karaoke free. Do note that if you go later in the afternoon, though, their lunch menu expires and the tea menu is a bit more izakaya-like. They used to have generous lunch sets but not the last time I was there. :( Still other nice things for lunch, though.

Their sukiyaki, superb. Shabushabu, meh. And if you're just passing by in the afternoon, stop by and spend $1 for a green tea soft serve. :) Yum.

Service was good. The food arrived quickly after ordering on the mini screens. The ordering system gave an interactive experience.

The food portion was small and was quite highly prized therefore large amount had to be ordered which resulted in a huge bill.

the karaoke area was spacious and the seating arrangements were comfortable.

A really fun place to celebrate the end of a tiring week at work. I've enjoyed several hours of karaoke with some pretty average food. There's a good vibe to this place, and it's generally quite clean. The service is standard, not the best English but a really fun place to go on a Friday or Saturday night. Just make sure you book ahead.

Lots of fun at this place!
Whether you're there for a much needed relaxing after-work cocktail, an intimate dinner with that special someone or if you're on a karaoke spree with the gang, Mizuya makes the experience fun.

I love their touch screen ordering system: makes the dining experience fun and different. It also lets you keep track of your bill and what you've already ordered. But this doesn't mean you get slacking off on the service. All servers/waiters are friendly, helpful and make sure your experience is perfect.

Great range of cocktails/mocktails, beer wine and spirits. And don't forget that killer sake!

Karaoke is a lot of fun here, nice spacious rooms, comfortable and cosy. And they'll usually have a good weekend deal for groups.

If you try anything at mizuya, DEFINITELY try the creamy miso & cheese scallops, ohhhh so divine and reasonably priced. Ordered it and let my friends at the table try and sure enough they were all ordering their own!

Approximate cost: $5-15

Oh boy this place is great aesthetically.
Recently had my birthday here. Was a great and an UNIQUE experience. I'm sure they've spent a fortune on this place.

Food was quite good, pretty authentic.
Karaoke wise, didn't have many of the songs we wanted to sing, but to be fair, we were expecting a little too much of the new stuff. See I'm a fan of yeezy and weezy, didn't really expect that from first place so it was all good. (If you're not sure who Yeesy and Tunechi is this place is probably perfect for your karaoke needs)

Now the price, this did surprise me a little, we over did a little with the food and drinks but the bill was larger than what I anticipated.

Still a great experience. I'd recommend.

I went here twice - once for a get together with friends and for a friend's birthday party. I enjoyed both times - I totally loved the quality of the food! It definitely has to be one of the top Jap restaurant in Sydney. Service was prompt, and efficient. Second time I went - I had karaoke, had an extensive song list and we were able to find most songs. I love the cocktail - top quality. Overall, very enjoyable experience.

Good place to entertain your friends as it serves well as both a sushi restaurant and also a karaoke centre. Having both at the same time only adds to the appeal and I will highly recommend it if there is a large crowd to go together.

There is quite a number of songs for you to choose from but they are not the latest. The food is quite nice but the choices are limited. The price is cheaper than the other karaoke and the sound system is not bad. The food is ready very fast as it only takes some times to reach you after you order from the touch screen monitor.Worth a try.

Approximate cost: $15
