Good ambience, nice little restaurant. Always packed. Ok food, won't say great as I have had better before in other states. Good variety of food. Had take away too, i reckon eating in is better quality and value

Morks, may your Thai food brilliance and influence spread far and wide in Canberra. Of the restaurants in which I've eaten in Canberra, Morks is a clear standout. I've done the take away thing from Morks also, and the service is always first class. The flavours are fresh and the chef clearly knows their trade. If only my toddlers liked chilli. This place deservedly gets the five stars.

This is a small restaurant, tucked away opposite Domino's Pizza at Florey Shops in West Belconnen. It is an unusual addition to such a non-descipt little local shopping centre.

Walk inside the doors and you will find a compact, classy, modern restaurant; packed to the rafters with discerning locals who are in on the secret that is Morks - quite possibly the best Thai food in Canberra. The menu has a very modern influence, offering a number of interesting and unique dishes; all exquisitely flavoured and beautifully presented. Take-aways are also delicious and provided in an eco-friendly re-usable bag. There are also cooking classes offered by the chef outside restaurant hours.

This is an upmarket restaurant with an upmarket clientele - a wonderful and unexpected treasure in the northern suburbs of Canberra. It's worth the trip, especially to get away from the routine of Kingston and Manuka. Just make sure you book - they don't have a lot of table space, and are always very popular.

Had dinner at Morks this evening and was very impressed. It is quite a small restaurant (and popular if tonight is indicative), so I would certainly recommend booking a table (glad we did, even though it was only earlier today that we did so).
I went with 3 others, I'm vegetarian and they all eat meat. They shared 2 entrees between them (chicken satay and crab balls) and I had an asparagus dish (which was very tasty but quite small). We each ordered a main and by the end thought we probably could have skipped the entrees, as the main serves were generous (and next time I will leave room for dessert!)
The quality of the food was fantastic, with a lovely variety of flavours in each dish, though too spicy for some (remember to ask them to tone down the spice if you are not fond of chili, for me the heat was quite mild).
The service was very helpful and friendly. I was very pleased when they agreed to modify a dish on the menu to make it vegetarian for me (and did a superb job of it) and came to check that we were happy with everything.
The prices were a little more than I would expect, especially for a suburban restaurant, however it was worth it! The takeaway prices are quite a bit less and it is a very different menu, though (having seen the takeaway menu in advance) one of the mains we ordered was from the takeaway menu (at a slightly higher price) and they were happy to do that. I highly recommend it and look forward to going back.

Approximate cost: $20-25

Went for a return visit with a larger group. Once again the service was great, though I asked for a modification and they couldn't do it this time. However, the food was fantastic (I went for entrée again rather than dessert but tried different dishes, again very yummy, was happy with that). Do expect gourmet size and style and I am sure you will not be disappointed! Still one of my absolute favourites.

Morks is a fairly new restaurant. It serves delicious Thai food, a bit different from the usual. My favourites are the angel prawns, served in the cast iron dish they are cooked in, each prawn in its own individual hollow, with a coconut/curry flavour. Divine! The grilled chicken with coconut rice is also delicious. In fact all their food is delicious. The service is attentive, relaxed and friendly. It is family-friendly and convenient, and also does takeaway and home delivery (these menus contain different dishes from those actually served in the restaurant). It is slightly pricey but in my view, well worth the price. The food is excellent.
