Ehh. This is an ok little cafe, it always seems to be really busy which I suppose is a good sign. I didn't receive good service here which always colors my view, but the coffee was OK.

Good coffee, great bacon, poached eggs hard a rock. Waited Saturday morning 50 minutes for 2 x bacon and eggs..prompted waiter 3 times..was about to leave and was promised 'the food will just be out now'. Waiter apologised that there was a $300 table in front of us..so? Terrible service and would expect a free coffee..will not go back. Suggested that they should at least fix it for the next people..

In spite of an attractive cafè menu, we have experienced slow service, average food and decently rude staff.
Pity because the business is in a good location, and with all the competition just across the street, I believe they should step up their game.

A nice place for lunch, but breakfast is a little bit overpriced and boring. I mean it is quite nice and filling in the morning, but there is nothing interesting or special to try here for breakfast. Smoothies are good though and of course the generic smashed avocado.

Lunch options are nice, but it located on a busy corner with fairly basic furniture, so it is not really a place to relax.

There are many coffee shops in toowong, which is great if you work in the area, but newsroom is by far the best value for money, the jumbo coffee comes with a triple shot and then you are ready for work! Great breakfast and lunch food too, you can't keep me away from the place!

This cafe is in a really great location so to be honest it's a shame it's not better. My boyfriend has actually been here once or twice before and has never had much to complain about, apparently the mushrooms are amazing. However, we had a pretty poor experience here the other week. Eggs Benedict was good taste wise, but also cold. Not to mention that they're not exactly the cheapest cafe around - I think you can do better than averaging $19 on breakfast meals. So many cafes in the general area do it SO much better and for much cheaper

Our waitress had absolutely no idea, when she brought food to our table she looked at us blankly until one of us was able to guess from looking at the food that it was ours. Not great. She had a lot of trouble taking our orders, so it's possible she was new and unfamiliar with the menu. I'm generally sympathetic towards inexperienced staff if they're at least engaging and give the impression they're doing their best. This one just looked uninterested and unhappy.

My advice? Try elsewhere.

Good place to be relaxed. Sometimes it is hard to find a table as there are many visitors. But coffe was not quite great.

Great little place I stopped into before work one day. Ordered a banana smoothie and it was delicious. Next visit with a friend we enjoyed the big breakfast. Portion sizes are good and the food is cooked well. Great prices
